It’s located some distance from the safari but still relatively close by. we managed to see the elephant and even a leopard! The room itself was clean and well planned, all the basic amenities were provided for us.

It felt to nice to be well cared for, especially when traveling alone. Gihan can help arrange tours and activities and will take you himself in his Tuk Tuk when available. They have bikes for hire and I enjoyed riding all around Anuradhapura a couple of times. Their food is amazing! In the past they owned a restaurant and it shows. A huge variety and the best food I’ve had in Sri Lanka. I am gluten intolerant and they were very accommodating to my diet. You can tell they care a lot about their business, investing in it and caring for their clients. Extend your stay, you won’t regret it. There’s much to see In Anuradhapura and you’ll not want to leave Corner Cottage.

The house is also very clean and spacious. The caretaker, Sadi (I hope I spelled the name correctly), is a super nice guy and always ready to help. He makes staying here even more special. Overall, I would highly recommend to stay here. It is also possible to organize a safari trip. The price seems fair, and the driver will pick you up directly from the house. I was very satisfied with how well it was organized.

At the guest house, the units are fitted with bed linen and towels. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. They booked a safari in Wilpattu only 1.5 days before our arrival and everything was very well organised. The safari itself was much better than expected: we had the luck to see 4 leopards, a sloth bear and 4 golden jackals, on top of many beautiful birds and reptiles. The resort provided breakfast and lunch to take on the safari, as well as snacks and drinks. Everything was very tasty and plenty. Also breakfast and dinners were very tasty and more than we could eat. All in all, we had a very good stay. Thanks so much!!!!

Wild monkeys visit the garden in the morning, yummy breakfast, the owner is very helpful and friendly for all kinds of traveling arrangments. we enjoyed a lot here.

What really made this stay unforgettable were the authentic experiences arranged by the hosts. Nilukshan helped us explore some of Sri Lanka’s most iconic sites with thoughtfully organized tours, the Wilpattu safari was stunning, and our visits to Anuradhapura and Mihintale gave us a deep appreciation for the country’s culture and history. Everything was well-timed, smooth, and stress-free. We also had the chance to join a Sri Lankan cooking class with Malsha, which ended up being one of our favorite memories. The class was fun, hands-on, and filled with flavor, we left not just with full stomachs, but with recipes and techniques we can take home with us. If you’re looking for more than just a place to sleep, if you want comfort, authenticity, and connection this is the place. Can’t recommend it highly enough!
