The property is non-smoking and is set 34 km from Kada Panaha Tank. Brand new rooms above a small restaurant. Welcoming and kind host family. Strong AC and beautiful view from the balcony. Be aware there is no hot water, but as we learned, this is fairly common in Sri Lanka. It’s on the main road, so there is some traffic noise, but it didn’t bother us. Dinner is also available with notice to the family.

Everything was just as promised. There were no other guests that night so I had the living room and verandah to myself. Everything went as expected.

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace, MONI FARM HOUSE WILPATTU is situated in Nochchiyagama. Guests can benefit from a balcony and an outdoor fireplace. The guest house also features free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. Very clean. Everything was new and it semelles amazing. The caretaker was very polite and cooked is incredible dinner. If you want to do the Safari, this place is perfect. We booked a Safari with getyourguide but you can also book directly with them.

Accessible via private entrance, all units have air conditioning, soundproofing, desk and a private bathroom with a shower. There is a seating and a dining area in all units. At the guest house, the units are fitted with bed linen and towels. Great location. Nicely tucked away from the road amongst the forest. Lots of birds including jungle fowl to watch from the patio. Walk in from the road via a pathway. They met us to help carry our bags. Dinner was traditional Sri Lankan curry - vegetarian or chicken. Followed by yoghurt and fruit for dessert. Plenty of food, not spicy and was yummy. Other options for dinner were fried rice or vegetable noodles. Breakfast was packed for us for the following day safari. 2 egg sandwiches, a banana, yoghurt and water. Sufficient for the half day. The best part is the very close lake and dirt road. We went for a walk with binoculars and saw deer, langurs, crocodile, hornbills and lots of other birds and lizards too. A much better, slower paced experience and one not to miss. We booked a half day tour with the host. In hindsight we would have booked a different tour. Pillows weren't overly comfortable but was OK for 1 night.

Kadahatha Wawa Lake is 1.7 km from the guest house, while Habarana Lake is 2.2 km from the property. Sigiriya Airport is 11 km away, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. Friendly,helpful/responsive hosts in a very clean house with a nice garden area. Ten minute walk to village center. Good breakfast and changed food each morning.

The owner was very welcoming and helpful since our arrival, he helped us organize all our excursions and he gave us great recommendations on where to go. We had an issue with the air conditioning in one of our rooms and he fixed it immediately. The breakfast was very good as well.

At the guest house, all units are allergy-free and soundproof. Staying at Sweet Home Tourist Rest turned out to be one of the best decisions we made on our trip to Sri Lanka. It’s rare to find a place that offers both great value and a truly personal touch , but this one does exactly that. Instead of just a room, we had an entire private apartment, including a comfortable living room, which gave us so much space to relax. It was quiet, clean, and located in a peaceful part of town, making it easy to rest and recharge between our adventures. And considering the price, it felt like an absolute steal. What really made this stay unforgettable were the authentic experiences arranged by the hosts. Nilukshan helped us explore some of Sri Lanka’s most iconic sites with thoughtfully organized tours, the Wilpattu safari was stunning, and our visits to Anuradhapura and Mihintale gave us a deep appreciation for the country’s culture and history. Everything was well-timed, smooth, and stress-free. We also had the chance to join a Sri Lankan cooking class with Malsha, which ended up being one of our favorite memories. The class was fun, hands-on, and filled with flavor, we left not just with full stomachs, but with recipes and techniques we can take home with us. If you’re looking for more than just a place to sleep, if you want comfort, authenticity, and connection this is the place. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

Probably one of our favourite stays in three weeks in Sri Lanka. The host family is absolutely lovely, and probably the best breakfast we ate in all our time! Fresh eggs, coconut pancakes, fruit and juices, tea, etc. and for dinner the most incredible rice and curry spread. Really quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of town, either a quick tuktuk in to the temples or via bicycle around the lake/reservoir - our hosts organised bicycles to be delivered to the homestay within a couple of hours of requesting them, so we could go around the temples at our own pace. We just went to the free temples but there is also a paid temple pass which gets you into a couple of the bigger structures. There are so many beautiful free ones to see we elected to leave this and didn't feel like we missed out - recommend splitting them between the afternoon/evening before and early morning the following day if you only have one night like us, to avoid the worst of the heat and minimise temple fatigue! Highly recommend staying at this lovely guesthouse.

The rooms were spotless, with great air conditioning and hot water available. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, always available when we needed assistance. Our booking was for two rooms, but they were not adjacent. The hosts went above and beyond by offering us a bigger room for the same price, which we truly appreciated. Overall, a great experience, and we would definitely stay here again!
