Iqbal and his staff were so warm and welcoming! They went above and beyond making sure I felt comfortable and enjoyed my stay! I was welcomed with delicious pineapple juice and a pastry. I ended extending my stay because it was such a warm and cozy place to spend a few days at the beach. Beach access is a few meters away. Iqbal also arranged surf lessons to peanut farm and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Best surf coach I’ve ever had! The room was very clean and spacious with hangers for wet clothes and storage. The hammocks outside each room are a very nice touch and relaxing. Each morning, the breakfast was very good and tasty! Lots of fresh fruit! Whatever you need, Iqbal and his team will take care of. Had a lot of nice chats with Iqbal. He will be missed! Wish I could stay for longer. Will definitely be back to this cozy piece of paradise.

Spacious, comfortable, very clean rooms with fridge and safe, good airco, nice bathroom and terrace. Very well situated, just out off the busy centre, quiet and still only a few minutes walk to several good restaurants. Varied and tastefull choice for breakfast, good lunch and dinner on demand. But best of all is the kind and welcoming host Basheer who does everything to ensure you have a pleasant stay! He speaks very good English and can arrange different activities. He arranged surf classes for our teenage sons with experienced teachers at a good price who took them to the best surfing spots, lagoon safari, in-house cooking class and transport to our next destination. And the gentile tuktuk-driver Haroun was always there to take us where we needed! Thanks Basheer and Haroun for the nice time in Arugam Bay!

At the guest house, the units are equipped with bed linen and towels. The hotel is situated on a side road so you do not hear the constant noise of cars and restaurants on the main street. Still, it is very close to everything ( a couple of minutes walk to the beach and main street). Our host gave us a lot of recommendations of where to eat and rent surfs, which all turned out to be great. He also took care of our laundry and was very helpful and a delightful person. Definitely very good value for money in Arugam Bay, I would stay here again.

Vinka was super helpful and kind throughout my stay — always available if I needed anything. Everything was perfect, and I felt totally at home. I’ll definitely come back one day. Highly recommended for surfers and nature lovers alike!
