Stunning view from the room! It was -3°C when I woke up at 7:30am, so cold and I decided to go back to sleep... but when I drew the curtain and looked outside, the scenery was amazing that I immediately grabbed my coat and gloves to take some pictures outside. The room itself was spacious if you're only traveling with your partner, it would be packed if you're a group of 3 to 4. Very clean and cozy. Everyone mentioned the breakfast so we ordered it too! Self-grown vegetables, homemade jam and yogurt... even the honey was from their own beebox! So healthy and natural food... We were truly amazed.

Esta vez fui el único huésped, y fui tratado de manera excepcional! Ambos anfitriones me hicieron sentir como si fuéramos conocidos desde hace mucho tiempo y son súper amables, sin duda vendré aquí. El plus es el ejercicio, está literal en subiendo hacía un hermoso templo, nada mejor que terminar el día con algo de cardio pa dormir tranquilo :) El desayuno súper rico y además fueron muy cordiales al ofrecer recogerme a mi llegada en la estación de tren y también me apoyaron para mi salida de Kumamoto llevándome de vuelta a la misma ya que yo pensaba irme más temprano. La mejor experiencia que he tenido en cualquier alojamiento, 100/100 recomendado.

This is hands down the best hostel I've ever stayed in. Genuinely, I would pick this hostel over a 5-star hotel any day. The room is large, comfy and well-equipped with a small table, tissues, travel guides etc. I LOVED the Kumamon dotted around the hotel, especially the Kumamon key chain and the Kumamon that will sit in the receptionist seat. Everything is so clean and tidy! The decorations of the hostel blew my mind, I genuinely had never seen such exquisite interior designs. The hostel even had a huge powder room, perfect for us ladies, and a huge common area with so much manga, a massage chair, games and even PCs! I would return to Kumamoto just to stay at this hostel again.

Very beautiful, clean guesthouse that was renovated from an old japanese home. The owners are both very kind and went out of their way to make my stay as nice as possible. You can tell that they really care about this place! Aso station (startpoint for the tour bus) can be reached in around 20 mins with bus or train. At night it is quiet and even in the summer surprisingly cool. I highly recommend to stay here if you are visiting Aso!

The host, which I was allowed to call Rio is super nice and welcoming. And as a young traveler he created a very safe and calm atmosphere. The hostel was super comfortable, clean and had everything I needed. Kikuchi is such a nice place with many beautiful spots around the area. I rented a bike from Rio and drove around on my first day, and I was positively overwhelmed by the beauty of the nature! I can recommend to go here!:)

Ubicado en Kikuchi, a 18 km de Hirayama Hot Spring, 民泊サライ七城 tiene hospedaje con un jardín, estacionamiento privado de cortesía y un salón compartido. We chose Kikuchi instead of Kumamoto, to get away from the city before our trip to Mt Aso. We got a lovely country house, but the main benefit was the lovely couple who hosted us. Super friendly and helpful. I enjoyed breakfast, my wife skipped hers, so the host packed it as a bento box for our lunch. Vegetables from the garden. A guided visit to the forest to see fireflies. Tastes of local food and drink. It was if we were lodging with my favourite aunt and uncle.
