We are delighted with the friendship and dedication with which the Suhsi House is run. If you want to experience sushi at the next level, you've come to the right place. The sushi master looks at sushi omakase, which roughly means "the chef's choice", i.e. the chef prepares the menu according to the seasonality and availability of the ingredients. The evening was simply fantastic. You can reach the accommodation perfectly by underground from Fukuoka, it is also a perfect starting point to explore the Itoshima Peninsula. The accommodation is very well maintained, clean, new and even has free coffee and tea. There is also a fridge for storing products. The bedrooms are typical Japanese, so a bit smaller and with futon (which were very comfortable). I 100% recommend a stay and definitely try the sushi. The warmth and dedication is just fantastic. I really enjoyed my stay at Guesthouse Matsuo A at the end of my long bicycle trip from Tokyo – very welcoming atmosphere, perfect location, and an incredibly supportive and interesting host. Highly recommended!

What a cool spot. The host Shiori is the sweetest person ever. She taught my partner how to play the cello then we played together in the sunset at the beach. Fukutsu is a wonderful, charming town. The house is clean and tidy, with great facilities, its always nice having access to a washing machine.

Ubicado en Kitakyushu, Nostime lodge 女性限定 female only cuenta con bicis gratuitas, jardín, restaurante y WiFi gratis en toda la propiedad. I really enjoyed that this located inside a little neighborhood so you get all the charms and experience of living in Japan like a local. The owner is super nice and I loved talking to her about my plans and other things, (I personally just enjoy when the owners are interested in giving recommendations about what to do or are just interested in getting to know their clients) It’s about a 10minute walk from the station (although keep in mind it is up a little hill if you are walking with a heavy bag from the station) which I like since at night it’s very quiet and easy to sleep since there are no cars racing by at night. The convenience stores are also about a 8 to 10minute walk away, but the fridge has been nicely separated so you know you have room to put your items in the fridge( if you don’t want to walk to the convenience store every morning to get coffee and food). I ended up utilizing the fridge more than I expected since I don’t usually use the fridges in large hostels since I tend to forget what food is mine if I can’t see my items. I recommend what I did which is to remember when I was walking back from the station at night to grab coffee and food at 7-eleven, so I could have a longer sleep-in in the morning.
