Each morning a traditional cooked and continental breakfast is served in the dining room, which has ocean views. The centre of Doolin is 10 minutes’ walk away and has several restaurants serving freshly caught fish.

Doolin Pier is 5 minutes’ walk from the guesthouse and has regular ferries to the Aran Islands. Stunning countryside surrounds the Atlantic View, including the famous Burren area. During my stay at the Atlantic View House I was mesmerised by the stunning views from both my room and the dining hall. The cozy room felt like a safe haven, right next to the crashing waves. In the midst of a fierce storm and heavy rain outside, the guesthouse stood strong like a fortress, ensuring our comfort. I really liked that it also offers a communal space, a welcoming area for a chat on the sofa as in your living room. It was a perfect blend of comfort and natural beauty with great hosts, who look after you in all kinds of ways.

Set in Doolin, Clare region, Mountain Aven Guest House is situated 24 km from Aillwee Cave. With free private parking, the property is 10 km from Cliffs of Moher and 2.9 km from Doolin Cave.

The units are equipped with heating facilities. It's wonderful. Even though it is a guest house, there is still privacy. We walked for dinner the 2 nights we stayed, excellent restaurants right there, don't miss the fish n chips, Buffalo chicken wings and trad music at McDermotts! The ladies at Mountain Aven are so nice. The breakfast is *Not* to be missed, they have everything and refills of big mugs of delicious coffee, not that instant stuff.

At the guest house, all units are fitted with a outdoor furniture. Units include a private bathroom with a hair dryer, while selected rooms also boast a terrace and others also feature river views. At the guest house, each unit is fitted with bed linen and towels. The place was very clean and comfortable. My room was cosy, plenty of space, very comfortable bed and a nice clean bathroom . The view was great, I could see the Cliffs and when lying in bed the window above was nice to look into the sky and even to hear the rain. The common room downstairs was also very comfortable. There was all sorts of different tea and coffee and also cornflakes which I didn't expect to be there. A nice table to have your breakfast and a chat with the other guests who stayed there. And 2 nice comfy chairs to relax and have a coffee after a nice walk. When I went downstairs on Sunday there were freshly baked scones on the counter what a nice surprise, they were yummy and put a smile on my face. There are also tables outside on the terrace to enjoy a nice lunch or just relax on a beautiful sunny day. I have to say I liked everything in Lane Lodge and Teresa the host is very welcoming and friendly and likes to have a chat and will answer all the questions you have about Doolin and the area. And I met the 2 little dogs who live there and they were super nice. Also the location is perfect, close to the pier, you can walk to the Cliffs from here and pubs and restaurants are near by for a nice meal and drink if you fancy one. I left very happy and relaxed, and will come back for sure.

The Old Cottage, a property with a garden, is situated in Doolin, 12 km from Cliffs of Moher, less than 1 km from Doolin Cave, as well as 22 km from Aillwee Cave. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the guest house free of charge. When staying at The Old Cottage, guests can use private entrance. The room was spot on clean, the breakfast was fabulous and the staff kind and helpful. Close to the city center

The Pipers Rest is set in Doolin, off the main road, just a 2-minute walk from two of Doolin's traditional Irish music pubs.

An array of activities are offered in the area, such as surfing, hiking, golf and horse riding. Shannon Airport is 47 km from the property. Jacquie greeted us outside of the regular check-in times and was super welcoming and gave great recommendations of things to do in the area. We are fans of sustainability and really like that The Pipers Rest e.g. tries to minimize food waste and hands out oder forms for breakfast the night before. We were really happy to also see vegetarian options on the menu! The food was very tasty, as well. (Just a suggestion for the future: eliminate the paper forms and maybe implement a QR code-based ordering system to make it even more sustainable). The room was great and had very comfy beds. Plus, the location is perfect - our main goal was to see The Cliffs of Moher. We wish we stayed a little bit longer to soak in everything Doolin has to offer!!! :)
