The accommodation features airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. I had a wonderful experience at the Sumatra Thomas Leaf Monkey Hotel. They helped to arrange everything for me. The jungle trek was great and we were fed so much food that we could not finish it all. Brian explained so many things to us and we got to see many animals.

Property was clean and overlooked the river view. My stay was excellent, and I also booked the jungle trek with them. It was absolutely amazing, and it was their own business. So it was a small group. Ricky and Anto were great with taking care of us. You should really try this activity! It’s very very worth it, and rest assured you are in good hands.

À la carte and Asian breakfast options with local specialities, fruits and juice are available. At the guest house, the family-friendly restaurant is open for dinner and lunch and serves Indonesian cuisine. We stayed there only for a short night, but still had great experience. It's located on the outskirts of Medan. There's a nice garden, so you don't have a feeling you're in a big city, and also tasty food in their restaurant. The owner is easy to communicate with. The room is comfortable and clean, with good airconditioning. Wifi works well. We left early in the morning, so we couldn't get the proper breakfast, but we still got a delicious fruit salad to-go.

At the guest house, every unit is equipped with a wardrobe. A patio with an outdoor dining area and mountain views is offered in every unit. At the guest house, each unit is fitted with bed linen and towels. I have never felt so welcome in my life in a hotel. Adi, Coco, Sarah, Santa, Ellie, and everyone else. You are all amazing people. The amount of work you put in the Cheeky Monkeys and all this while wearing the biggest smile and showing the kindest heart is not to explain in words, only in experience. Cheeky Monkeys gives real meaning to 'Arrive as a stranger, leave as a friend'.

A recently renovated guest house situated in Bukit Lawang, Kupu Kupu Garden Guest House & Cafe features a garden. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony. Guests can make use of the sun terrace or the outdoor fireplace, or enjoy views of the mountain and river. The location is chill, far away from noisy motorbikes. Also the friendliness of the staf. The hosts (Arif and Risky) were very entertaining and honest. They want you to have a good time and will do everything to make you feel at home. They organise good trustfull and knowledgeable guides for the jungle trek and transport. Highly recommend it. We absolutely loved the laid back jungle spirit of Kupu Kupu Garden.
