The room was cozy, clean, and full of character, exactly what you'd hope for in a small, lakeside hotel. What really made it special, though, was the view. Waking up to look out over Lake Lugano, with the mountains framing the water and the quiet little village of Gandria below, was something we won’t forget. The location is perfect if you're looking for a peaceful retreat that's still close to everything. It's just a short drive or boat ride to Lugano, and you're right near the Italian border too, which made day trips really easy. Gandria itself is tiny, charming, and full of atmosphere. Wandering its narrow lanes felt like stepping back in time. We also loved the slower pace and quiet evenings here. It was the kind of place where you can actually hear the lake. Highly recommend if you're after a mix of comfort, scenery, and a real sense of place.

The property is literally at the bus stop and water ferry yet we heard no noise from the street. The restaurant is highly rated so we tried it the first night and returned the second as well. A minimarket is available at the guest house. The host was so friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. He helped me with my laundry and even walked me to the nearest ATM. The cat was very nice and comical, he loved the water tap! The apartment was exceptionally clean and it was in a very quite location, but also was not far from the main parts of the city! Easy to get to by public transport from the train station as well. I loved it and would recommend this place to anybody!
