We really regret not staying here longer – we actually enjoyed it much more than in Nungwi. Beth is an amazing host, and her hospitality made our holiday truly special. The place is new and continuously being improved. When we booked, the pool wasn’t even built yet, but by the time we arrived, it was ready. The staff are extremely kind, and the food is delicious – the chicken shawarma is a must-try! Beth also helped us with everything, from airport transfer to programs, and always replied instantly. In terms of value for money, this was the best place during our whole Zanzibar trip. Prepare for an authentic experience – if we return to Zanzibar, we will definitely come back here.

Absolutely amazing place! Top location, in the heart of Paje, 5 min from the beach and restaurants! Very quiet, cozy, high quality ! Very clean, very big room and bathroom ! Beautiful garden , kind of jungle. You even can have espresso coffee, wich is rare in Paje! Highly recommended!

Very nice appartement, perfect location close to the beach and surrounded by local shops. The best restaurant of Pajé is 5 min walk. Very helpful host and friendly welcome. Mayssa helped us with our excursions around this beautiful Island for a reasonable price. We shure come back next year. Thank for giving us the best holiday ever

This was the most special and beautiful place I stayed in Zanzibar. This is not a standard Hotel or even backpackers usual place. Carol or Bibi Mrembo as the locals call her opens the doors of her house for you and with her kindness and welcoming vibe makes the stay and moments with her to be so special. Loved my time here and the time I spent with her discovering the surroundings, snorkeling and having lunch together. Definitely, my place in Zanzibar. Long life Carol and keep vibing as you do. Since I read the book who the owner Dorota wrote, I really wanted to visit Vanilla House. And it was as I imagined, even better!!! The sound of the ocean at night...The breeze.. The food... The view... I loved it!!!!

Set in Jambiani, in the middle of a local village , Zanzistar Lodge boasts a sun terrace with outdoor pool and is located just a short stroll away from the beach.

I really enjoyed my time in Jambiani. The lodge is adorable and very laid back, which was perfect for me. As a solo traveler, I particularly appreciated the beach bar, which allowed me to leave me stuff while I went in the water, went for walks on the beach. Value for money is great as well - the staff was very friendly, they organized transfers, the food was great, etc. I hope I’ll be back soon!
