We were staying for three days while visiting Chiang Rai. Our host was as super friendly and spoke perfect english (which is not that common here in Thailand). We got a lot of good and honest tips from him without them having an ulterior motive. Just for him we would probably come back as he also saved our day by getting us a short term transport to Chiang Mai. The breakfast options are few but everything that was there tasted good (Mostly fruit, toast and eggs). The rooms were clean, tidy and just what we expected. It’s also in walking distance to almost everything in the city center and therefore ideal for tourists. If we ever come back to Chiang Rai we would stay here again.

The staff were amazing. So kind and helped us as soon as we got there by helping us rent a bike. We were given drinking water and toilet paper straight away. The bed was so big and really comfy. The co-host we met, was always smiling and generally just a very kind and polite human being. We have been backpacking for three months and this was the best accommodation so far ! It was really close to the blue temple and 5 minutes by bike from the night market ! Highly recommend !!!!

We spent only two nights to explore Chiang Rai! This accommodation was ideal, providing everything we required. The air conditioning was excellent, and there were tours available for booking. They helped us book the day tour to explore the White temple, Blue temple, Long neck village etc., and it was amazing! We would have extended our stay if we hadn't already booked a flight. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful!

We loved our stay in this small hotel in Chiang Rai ! The staff is friendly and super nice with the guests, the location is great (outside the city center but easy to go by walking or taking a Grab), the room is great, modern and full of natural light… The bathroom was also really big and clean. We had bottles of water everyday, the staff was always ready to help us whenever we needed it :) The style and the architecture of the hotel is beautiful, there are also some tables outside to relax or have a drink. Thank you to all members of the staff, we really enjoyed our time in Chiang Rai !!! And a big thank to the manager : she sent us a package with some things we had forgotten in our room… Amazing person 🙏🏻

This is the third time I come at Kanlaya Place , Never dissapointed. Large and confortable rooms , ultra size beds , Absolute confort . And what about location ? This is THE PLACE TO BE ! 50 meters from Clock tower , close to main street , 300 m from market , very near of bus station .Surrouded by many restaurants , An extraordinary location !     Location is great, it's clean and you have a 5 stars hotel service. The free help yourself breakfast is such a great add. It's a quiet area yet very close to the night market. If you want a good trip I can recommend bamboo tour. Not far from the guesthouse and made by a professional with fair even cheap prices. Ask Kwan ;) Would definitely stay again.

    I have spent a nice time at this lovely guesthouse. The room was clean, the matress was the best I had during my three months journey in Asia and every comodity was at a walking distance. The guesthouse is situated in a quiet neighborhood, next to the main area and the city center nightlife (10 min walking). The hostel staff was always smiling and happy to help, they booked a tour for me. You could rent scooters there. Will stay there again for sure.
