Best place to stay in town, especially for solo travelers! Shekhar is a friendly host who kindly offers local advice. I will definitely visit this place again when coming back to Nepal 🇳🇵 it’s close to one of my favorite shop, the peacock shop, where they makes cool paper products 😍

What you see is what you get and that is great! Simple straightforward rooms in a nice and quite street close to all the beautifull squares. The manager is a wonderfully kind man who speaks perfect English, we stayed two nights more because we liked it so much. Good hot shower and everything is very clean.

Very clean, beautiful rooms. The bathroom and shower were very nice. The hotel is in a great location. Breakfast is delicious and has a wonderful view. The staff is also extremely helpful.

Everything! The hotel is small but cosy and details are brought to a level much higher than the price payed. Breakfast is simple and delicious. And the family running the place is lovely and helpful. From the rooftop you have an amazing sunset. And it is located next to the most important square in Bakthapur

Nice authentic building in a good location in Bhaktapur with parking available. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. The room was good value for money.

The hotel is on the edge of Bhaktapur Durbar Square, and our room looked directly out to the old palace and temples. Our view was gorgeous. When we wanted to go exploring, we could just step out of the hotel and everything was walking distance. The staff were extremely helpful. In fact, there was a glitch in the Booking.com app where our itinerary, inexplicably, did not match the hotel's. We got a bit anxious and stubborn because we had transcribed our intinerary based on our trip listings in the Booking app. But the owner very patiently asked us to sit down and figure it out, and we were humbled to find that our schedule was mixed up. We were able to sort it all out, because we were taking a side trip to stay outside of town for a night, returning to stay at Shiva House again. Shiva House stored our luggage while we were away. Also, the food in the restaurant is excellent. *There is a restaurant right next door as well, with a beautiful garden courtyard, worth checking out. We hired Myla (not sure of the spelling) to drive us to many sites, which was a great help. Everything is easy walking distance from Shiva House, and we loved that we could walk back and take a break at any time.

Very cosy and comfy room, clean and with a nice view. Everything functional (power, bathroom...), very well located 2min walk from durbar square and surrounding streets! The owners are very kind and welcoming As they haven't recovered activity level from covid years however, there is limited food options available at the guesthouse, but breakfast was good and there are plenty of options (touristy or more local) around in Bhaktapur
