The owners Saman and Sandive were very welcoming. They made sure that everything in the room was ready before our arrival. Both are extremely friendly and helpful. The room was just amazing, spotless clean, you can definitely sense the attention to every detail. The location is great, quiet and peaceful, surrounded by trees all around. The view is spectacular, you can see the waterfall and hear the sound of running water from distance when lying in your bed, just a wonderful scene to wake up to. Saman prepared a delicious breakfast and delivered it to the room by herself just to make sure that we do not need anything else. This was by far one of the best places we have been to in Ella. We would definitely book that place again on every trip back to Ella. We highly recommend this place.

We had such a lovely stay at Wingate Homestay. The owner was so kind and welcoming, and she cooked us a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast every morning, always with plenty of fresh fruit – a real highlight of our stay! The room was charming and comfortable, with a mosquito net and a fan to keep things cool. The bathroom was modern and clean, with reliable hot water in the shower. The location is excellent – just a 5-minute walk into the main town, making it easy to explore Ella while still enjoying a peaceful setting. We originally planned to stay for a shorter time but ended up staying 3 nights because we liked it so much. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Ella!

Perfect location, great views, near railways, so you can see the trains passing by. In 7 minutes you can walk to Ella. The other way on the railway will bring you to the waterfall en Ella Rock. When you just passed the trainbridge, go down, and ask the women for guiding you to a beautiful viewpoint. On your own its difficult to find. Breakfast is good. The caretaker Lashman is gentle and tells a lot of things to visit/to do. From were you will have breakfast, the view uphill is lovely, looks like a jungle. We parked our tuktuk just across the railway.

The hosts, father and son, were very friendly and welcoming. On arrival, I was served tea and cookies. The room was clean, neat and the terrace overlooked a beautiful view of the mountains. Breakfast was served in front of my room on the terrace and was good. Each morning I was served fresh juice with my breakfast.

Staying at Third Eye Ella was an excellent experience from start to finish. The room was impeccably clean and extremely well-equipped, making for a comfortable and convenient stay. A little off the path from central, Ella sits this gorgeous family owned accommodation. Dill met us at the steps of the property and carried my husband's case to our spacious , comfortable rooms. We travelled with our young adult sons, and they were in the next room to us enjoying a king bed each. The property is landscaped to create a peaceful environment, and there are plenty of comfortable couches available to sit and soak in the ambience. Dill's breakfasts are delicious, and her knowledge of Ella and surrounds has been extremely helpful to us. We will be sad to leave .
