We spent one night in Evergreen Villa, which provides a stunning view over the nature area. The room we stayed in was build very recently and was clean and neat. We received a warm welcome with a welcome drink (a papaya smoothie). We did the 5-6 hours rainforest tour and had a wonderful time. We saw a lot of different animals, such as snakes, a scorpion, owls and monkeys.

We enjoyed our stay at Sinharaja Rest very much. Maps may not for some reasons show the exact directions as there is a newer road uphill that one should take to reach the place. Relying on map directions we ended knocking on the neighbours' door but they kindly showed us the right direction : ) The place is an excellent starting point for a rainforest tour. The host organized a six hour rainforest tour for us and also took us to the bus station when we left, so we were very well looked after. The rainforest tour was awesome! We saw lots of birds, some monkeys and some snakes and our guide was very knowledgeable. Special care should be taken to keep leeches off as they are hungry and crawl faster than you might imagine. We were provided leech socks by the host that kept most of them away, but I still donated some blood to a couple of leeches. It may be a good idea to take some adhesive bandages with you to stop the bleeding. Sinharaja Rest is located at the edge of the village, so one can sit on the terrace and absorb the village sounds and listen to birds singing. This place is hidden gem of Mederepitya - great river and mountain views , friendly host, new cabanas with all that you need for your comfort, starry night and lot of night birds 😍 I will definitely come back again soon!

We've been in some pretty good places in Sri Lanka, but this one was definitely the cleanest and most well-maintained. Large rooms, plenty of space around, terraces, a swimming pool... the water in the pool was fantastic. And it was right next to the rainforest and bus station. You can actually watch different species of birds from the swimming pool.. The meals were excellent, different every day. Everything was perfect.

What an experience. The room was beautiful and perfect for the three of us. The bathroom felt very luxury and the shower was very good. The family prepared a lovely dinner of curries for us which was one of the best curries we have had. The breakfast was also lovely and we all left very full of food. The rainforest tour was amazing and swimming under a waterfall was a real highlight. This trip is a must

Sinharaja Forest Lodge is the perfect getaway for nature lovers! The lodge is nestled right next to the Sinharaja rainforest, offering a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. We've accommodated in hotel sanctuary last week. It was very clean and attractive.The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and well organized.The pool area was fantastic, to have fun.The hotel keeper was very friendly and helpful.The hotel owner was the same. The meals were really delicious.We could enjoy the scenic beauty of rakwana mountains right from the hotel.That accomodation package was very reasonable for the payed price.I recommend this place for people, who are expecting a perfect stay near Rakwana.
