The house was incredible, the woman who rents it was super nice and did an incredible job furnishing the flat and making the architecture of the house in itself. She was super nice and we had a great time sleeping in the Japanese spirit.

I highly recommend this place. The owner is so incredibly friendly and helpful and gave me a great immersion into Japanse culture and values, not only by the great conversation we had but also by the way he supported me during my stay and even afterwards. The house breathes Japanese history and has a wonderful spacious feel. I stayed in a beautiful room in Japanese style and there is a great living room to read and relax. I am very grateful for this experience and intend definitely to return.

The hosts are really nice, including the cats! We got to meet two of the cats Milk and Clover who came to chill with us in our room. The house has a lot of charm and personality, and is cared for with love and attention. It was really clean too. The house is next to train tracks so you will hear the trains and signal for passing trains, but that did not bother us. There are two train stations within walking distance (10-15 min walks), so coming from Takamatsu station should not be an issue. Would stay again for sure.

Alex and his wife were extremely welcoming and showed us amazing hospitality and gave plenty of great recommendations. The apartment was spacious, very tastefully put together and came equipped with everything you could need. Wish we were able to stay longer!

I liked the collection of books and the little souvenirs displayed in the house. The free bike rental was super convenient too, as it made going to the station way easier. The host also provided a pick-up and drop-off from/to the station by car on the day of arrival & departure.

The two hosts have just started their journey as owners, but they already know how to give it all to make you feel welcomed. The place is spotless and well kept, the services are all working well. No queue for the shower or toilet even though the guesthouse was full. The personal space is essential but, honestly, more then expected because even though I filled all the space for the luggage (two full backpacs), the bed was wide and comfy (pillow too) with a nice warm light, and I had a lot of space for myself. The common room is wonderful and spacious, and helps making friends. The difference was surely done by the hosts, they helped me with everything! Cool dudes :) Gambatte kudasai!

The location is distant from central Takamatsu but it wasn’t and issue for me with a car. For those without private transport it would probably be an issue. The place was incredibly clean and very well run.
