The couple who run the Inn are kind and hospitable. They were helpful in assisting me in all manners. Their charm was accompanied by the unique construction and style that decorate the establishment. Quite simply you must see it to appreciate it.

Peaceful away from city area and place. I chose the bed with the view of the lake, and I highly enjoyed my stay. The kitchen and showers were always clean, even with the amount of guests using it. I caught the train 4 stops away to the closest supermarket and stocked up for the week, but also went on walks from the hostel and got lunch out. They also have food and supplies at reception to buy if only staying a few nights. I rented a SUP from place across the road, even in low season and had a lot of fun!!! Things to do around the area when it's sunny, when it's raining it's nice to sit inside the hostel as well

The son and mother running the guesthouse were wonderful. It's a beautiful location, and because it is fairly far from the station, the son picked us up in his van at the station. We did have to call him to get us (which we knew ahead of time), so it's important to have the capability to do so or otherwise arrange it with the guesthouse host. We thoroughly enjoyed the onsen at the hotel with included yukatas and our very spacious room (had a heater/AC as well!). The sheets and yukatas and towels were impeccably clean and pressed. The son and mother had a lovely cafe with free beverages downstairs, and they also had a wonderful breakfast we paid for in the morning. I feel this guesthouse is truly a hidden gem and highly recommend it to anyone considering it. Easily one of the best places I have stayed at in Japan. My husband and I were so charmed during the whole experience.

The owner was extremely friendly and adaptable to my situation, she was very kind and even let me keep my bags at the property ling after checkout time so that I could explore more of kyoto. The beds are comfortable as well as the toilet and shower facilities.

Everything, wonderful team, the owners truly treated us as 'guests'. The perfect way to arrive as first timers in Kyoto. Slept very well, super breakfast. Despite other guests in a compact space, the Guesthouse ambience made us all very respectful and accommodating. Great location a little away from the tourist scene but has it's own local charm and easy walking reach from temples and sightseeing. Coffee in the lounge in front of the bog tree just what we needed in the morning.

Located in the centre of Kyoto, 雅 is a recently renovated accommodation, which provides soundproof rooms. The air-conditioned accommodation is less than 1 km from Gion Shijo Station.

Perfect location, close to all the main attraction and also from the Kyoto central station. The room is big with a nice balcony and beds are comfortable. Last but not least the host is very kind and answers very quickly. We had an amazing stay :)

This was my second time here. The hosts of this family-run small inn are so welcoming and helpful, and the rooms are really comfortable. The location is close to many major sights (museums, temples) and right around the corner from a train station if you want to go farther.

Family Inn Kei 慶 features accommodation within 3.2 km of the centre of Kyoto, with free WiFi, and a kitchenette with an oven, a microwave and a toaster.

Location is well connected with public transport stations (only a few minutes walking distance). The room was decent, secure check-in and checkout, and everything was clean.
