Writing about this guesthouse is like writing about home! We kept extending our stay twice because we didn't want to leave. The staff are so nice, they always smile and ask what your plans are and how they can help. There are so many recommendations for food, coffee, desserts and other things to do in the neighbourhood, that you can literally spend weeks just in the close proximity of the guesthouse, on the charming Tokaido street in Kitashinagawa. They also organise activities for free, where you can learn more about this area of Tokyo and about life in Japan and meet other travelers. We happened to visit during the September full moon, and the guesthouse organised a truly exceptional free tour with a tea ceremony at a charming teahouse on a nearby street. One of the best experiences is just walking on the street and seeing one of the guesthouse employees pass by on their bike or walking with their kids and saying hello to you. Made us feel like part of the neighbourhood.
