The whole experience of the stay was wonderful, and cannot be expressed in words. Kind owner, who did everything so we could enjoy our stay (met the owner's mom, they gave us ride from the bus station and back). We had a lovely traditional (clean, beautiful interior) room, free drinks and snacks. We especially liked the kitchen (included all utensils, toaster), it even had charging cables for all kinds of phones. The whole home is very close to a very famous shrine, which is surrounded by a beautiful forest. Our visit was especially special, as when we visited this place, it was lightly rainy and misty, making it feel quite magical. And the next day, we got lucky, as it was a particularly sunny day, allowing us to bike, and hike a nearby small mountain for the best view of the Fuji! Oh yeah, and bikes were freely available at the apartment! Dear Host, thank you so much for all your kindness and welcoming! We loved everything!

If you’re coming to Mt Fuji (Fujisan) you HAVE to come stay here and meet the amazing Hana-San and Satoshi-San. This by far was the best and most hospitable experience I have had in Japan. The accommodation is incredibly cute and has the homely touches of the owners. The bed was incredibly comfortable, I’m sad to say goodbye to that mattress. The owners put out a large spread of free snacks, fruit, yogurts, noodles, boiled eggs, teas and coffees which they top up everyday! They even gave me a (FREE) bicycle that I was welcome to use for my whole stay, which really opened up Mt Fuji. And to make it even more special I was left a gift to say thank you for coming and even a birthday gift. Which honestly brought me to tears, I only mentioned in passing this was my 30th trip. To end the longest review I have left. Stay here, I know a day trip is attractive, but then you don’t get to experience the sleepy quiet Mt Fuji nor the hospitality of Hana-San and Satoshi-San.

Things are perfect, especially the Fuji view. This is one of the very few accommodations that I would seriously consider 'Should I just stay here instead of going out'? One more huge advantage: There is a convenience store right next door.

The guesthouse was just near bus station and it was easy to get to from kawaguchi station. I was fascinated by the beautiful lake near the guesthouse. There are also many good restaurants nearby and a great cycling trail.

The hotel is only 4 minutes away from Kawaguchiko station, the amenities are nice, everything is clean, and the staff is very helpful. I was originally a bit hesitant to share a bathroom, but with only 8 rooms, I barely ran into others and everything was spotless. My solo $40/night room was spacious. A very cozy spot and perfect for those on a budget!
