This hotel is on the southern shore of the Snaefellsnes peninsula, close to the water. The modern room (comfort twin with glacier view) was spacious with two chairs, a desk and small table, comfortable bed and a nice bathroom with good shower. There are electrical outlets galore in this room. The weather didn't allow for a view but we would have seen the glacier out of our spacious window if the peak hadn't been covered with clouds. The dining room has a very good dinner buffet and excellent breakfast with many hot and cold items. Location is convenient for visiting the Snaefellsjokull National Park (be sure to go to the excellent visitor center at Malarrif) Budir, Hellnar, Arnarstapi, the black pebble beach, and other amazing wonders of the area. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay there. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. We arrived later than expected because our toddler has car sickness sometimes. Not only they waited for us until later than 10pm, but they even offered us to wash the dirty (vomited) clothes. They also heated up the room in advance to make sure it was comfortable upon arrival. The room was big and spacious, clean, and the views from the room make it perfect to see the Northern Ligths on a clear night (unfortunately, we were not lucky with the weather).

Featuring mountain views, Lysuholl in Snæfellsbær features accommodation, a garden, a bar and a shared lounge. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available.

Spectacular view of mountains, friendly owner- they’ve been running this business through generations. Newly renovated and very modern looking. Very cosy and not far from Kirkjufell. Celebrated Christmas dinner with owner and family and absolutely loved how welcoming everyone was. Oh, and food was very delicious!! Highly recommend!! Love everything about this place.

In love with this place! The rooms with private bathtoom are inside a little cottage. Very cozy, , very confortable bed, good space and AMAZING views! Kettle and tea in the room. Big shower. Staff is wellcoming and i even got to meet Thor and Loki (if i'm not mistaken), the family cats who are so sweet and love cuddles. There is no wifi in the rooms, so it's good to disconet and enjoy the nature around! My romm was 13B with views to sea and mountains! Just wow! The sun was shinning it was beautiful and warm day and it felt so good to sit outside just admiring the views and getting some sun! Guesthouse Hof it's just 5 minutes away from one of my favourite spots in Iceland... Ytri Tunga, where you can watch the seals laying on the rocks in the beach! Perfect location to stay in Snaefellsnes, it's easy to get to all the touristic spots. Will be back again!

Beautiful cottage with a fully equipped kitchen. They even had an egg slicer. You have a great view to the sea, the room was cosy and the water was hot. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!

Arnarstapi Cottages is located in Arnarstapi, Snæfellsbær. The property also has a terrace. Each room is fitted with a patio with views of the mountain.

The loaction of Grund was perfect for our needs and as a simple guesthouse in rural Iceland we were overall very impressed with the accommodation. The staff member who checked us in was very friendly and our room was clean, comfortable and made use of shared bathroom facilities. We never had any issue getting use of them when required. Grund is entirely self catering with no restaurant facilities but they did offer a very good kitchen area where we were able to cook our meals. Everything was very clean and ideal for what we required.

This family-run guest house is situated in central Grundafjördur. It offers free parking and brightly decorated rooms with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV.

Fantastic position with views of Kirkjufell and a great big fully equipped kitchen for cooking in with crockery and utensils supplied. Our room was big and sunny and very clean. The free voucher for coffees at Valeria coffee roasters was the icing on the cake as this columbian owned cafe had the best coffee in Iceland! Super friendly and helpful hosts who helped us with information on road conditions ( which were treacherous when we visited early April).

Located along the coastline, Við Hafið Guesthouse offers accommodation in Ólafsvík. Guests can benefit from free WiFi. Rooms feature either a view of the sea or mountains.
