The owner is lovely, very warm welcome, the location is superb. We got recommended some places to eat and were not disappointed. Very cozy and lovely place. The only downside is we could only stay 1 day (because we had to go home)

Cockpit cottage is a lovely place to stay with a dog before catching the Eurotunnel by car. The rooms are beautifully appointed and there is a common living area to share with other guests. I had the place to myself. You can make tea and coffee in the kitchenette and delicious food is available in the pub next door. There are many walks in the area to exercise your dog or to get some fresh air after a drive.

Set in Folkestone, near Folkestone Beach, Folkestone Harbour and Folkestone Central Railway Station, The Ship Inn Folkestone has a bar.

It was a lovely place in a perfect location. Very clean and a great atmosphere. The staff were unbelievably friendly and welcoming which made our stay. Both Trish and Vi helped arrange taxis, showed us to an available parking space for the day free of charge and allowed us to use our room before checking in. They even kindly helped us back into the accommodation when we were a little worse for wear following a wedding which demonstrates how generous and thoughtful they are. I would definitely recommend staying here to others looking for somewhere in this area.

I received a very friendly welcome. The room and ensuite bathroom were spic & span. A kettle was provided for tea and coffee. I found the bed comfortable. The location was ideal for me as I had an early Eurotunnel train booked the following morning, the drive took approx 15 minutes. I arrived late in the evening and was leaving just after 6am so parking was easy, on the street just around the corner, but it might be more of a problem for people arriving and departing during the day.
