Probably the best hostel in the entire Amazon! Not only are the owners and their entire family extremely kind and helpful, the food is also amazing and they are the only place in Macedonia (the village) with uninterrupted electricity and high speed internet thanks to solar panels and Starlink (satellite internet). I got quite a bit of work done during my stay and was also able to relax. The hostel is located at the edge of the village (about 5 min walking from where you arrive by boat), which means that it's very quiet and peaceful.

I was impressed with my room, it offered a sizeable double bed and the accomodation itself overlooked the Amazon river. where you can admire the sunrise and sunset. The staff were super helpful & friendly. The Maloka in the center of the accommodation offered the perfect space to browse the handmade artesanias, as well as enjoy a meal and meet local people and travellers alike. I would go back in a heartbeat.

La Ceiba is a magical place run by warm, smiling, and helpful people. Staying there is not just about accommodation – it’s a true experience that lets you embrace the spirit of the Amazon. The hotel also offers tours, giving you the chance to fully explore the wonders of the jungle and the Amazon River. I rarely give a 10/10 rating, but this place absolutely deserves it. We spent 4 unforgettable days there, and I am certain I will return. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a unique and authentic experience.

Its was an amazing experience! Getting to know the town and its people was lovely, everyone was very welcoming and kind. Gustavo was really really kind, explained me a bit the community a but of history, I learned about their customs, their current situation as a community and how they are envisioning their town to make it better. With Gustavo you can go to explore the jungle, he also can bring you to tours in his boat. The place where a slept was good for resting after long hours of walking. The kitchen was perfect, super well equipped.

I loved everything! I had a beautiful private room with super comfortable bed. I probably didn’t make the best use of it, as I was spending most of my time on the terrace. The place is located at the edge of town, far away from the music and activities in the centre, but still very close to walk. The outdoor space is just stunning. Hosts are amazing people, very kind and helpful. There’s always a bowl of fruit waiting for me for breakfast:) The place was never packed with people, there were only random travellers, so it felt very private and quiet- and this is exactly what you need in the middle of Amazonas!

We had such a nice room with a balcony and hammocks you could use. It was clean and had mosquito nets. Marine could speak good English which was very helpful for us and her husband and the other lady who worked there were also so nice and friendly. They offer lots of tours which we did three of. We really enjoyed them all, especially the one where we went to Peru and saw sloths!

Great place on the edge of the village where monkeys 🐒 come to visit. Nice hammock space, fans, and comfortable beds with mosquito nets. Lovely family. I highly recommend staying here. We truly felt like family by the end of our stay.
