Cosy hotel with excellent breakfast and restaurant. The restaurant seems to be visited from all of the area and we had difficulties in getting a table at one evening (sorted out by the staff within 30 mins, since we were hotel guests). The meat is produced by the farm, which is attached to the hotel. Staff is family friendly, but there are also many couples visiting. Pets are welcome. There is a public bus to Salzburg city centre every 30 minutes, leaving in front of the hotel (Bus No 180 - it takes 40 mins to Salzburg). We felt very welcome and will certainly visit again.

The place is right next to a busy street, so expect noises from the street. I had no problem with it, so it was no issue for me. Bed is comfortable, has a balcony that we shared with the rooms. Our room was on the second floor. Checking in was easy. just pick up the phone near the main door, key in some numbers and you can take the room key. Room is complete with towels, lots of tv channels.

Unconventionally traditional: Haus Wartenberg, built in 1654, is located on the Mönchsberg, which means you can walk through the tunnel to the heart of Salzburg's old town in just 15 minutes.

Location was good for us- free parking on the street ( with blue disc) and then walking to the old town (20mins with kids) The hotel is beautiful and uniquely decorated.

The family-run Hotel Junior is located half-way between Salzburg airport and the city centre. Paid parking is available on site. WIFI is available in all rooms free of charge.

Haus Mayerhofer is a lovely and cosy place! We spend Christmas there and had the best time! Beds are really comfortable! And it has a big living room and kitchen space. The apartment was perfectly heated for the snow! Although the bathroom is en suite with the one room, it wasn't a problem for us as 'n family. Breakfast is available on request. Everything is closed in St. Gilgen on Christmas Eve and Christmas day, but we made a delicious meal in our apartment. There is Spar supermarket close by to buy all you need. The people are very friendly and St. Gilgen is a beautiful town! It is close to the bus stop which connects you to anywhere!
