I felt like the room was a place to be, to stay, to live and it didn’t bother me to be there while a snowstorm was raging outside. The bed was amazing, even though it was a Japanese futon, the staff was super nice and welcoming and the free drinks at the lounge were amazing. This is the best hotel I’ve ever been and I will definitely return.

The warm ambiance is further enhanced by local artists' paintings adorning the walls. We went as a group and we loved the ryokan. It was very spacious, everything was very clean, and it was conveniently located near the bus station, the train station, and the city center where most of the shopping takes place. The rooms were the most spacious we stayed in throughout Japan, and the staff were all very kind. I would definitely stay here again.

Location was amazing- walking distance from the station and from the old town. The place was beautiful, and the rooms had everything. Futons were very comfy. The onsen was the best I tried so far (but I haven’t tried a lot). We did the private bath, and it was really nice. They also lend you yukatas to wear around the ryokan. And the staff were very friendly, hospitable and helpful!
