Beautifully recently updated former oldest hotel in Hilo. Great value, superb customer service, spare but very nicely minimally decorated king room with local woodwork and wall art, gorgeous entryway and lobby area, free coffee and tea 24/7, beautiful pool. Yes, some airport noise and parking on street or in free lot around the corner. But we will definitely stay here again when we return to Hilo in 2027.

The Inn at Kulaniapia Falls sits among 22 lush, natural acres, surrounding Hawaii's largest privately accessible waterfall. Free WiFi is available as well as a guest computers.

Simply one of the best places worldwide we ever visited. There was fresh fruit and avocado in the fridge everyday and you are welcome to stroll around on the premises and pick any of the seasonal fruits. We ate lychee e.g. directly from the tree. It's a must if you visit big island and like to be in the less crwoded countryside.
