This 5-star hotel has a chunk of the historical 14th century Muralha Fernandina, along with views over 17th century noble households. What I particularly loved about this hotel are the extra services they offer to the guests. They clearly have the guest in mind -- from the free walking tours, to massage to snacks at the lobby -- certainly going beyond the extra mile. The staff was wonderful, very engaging and would have always something to talk about with the guest, not stiff but very naturally friendly. The location is not in the very busy part of Lisbon but a very short walking distance to the site, so it's very nice to wake up in the morning to some quiet time. We got a large room more than enough space to open our two big luggages, and additional shopping. It had a small balcony that looks out to the street, I enjoyed having my coffee from there in the early morning just as the city is about to wake up. The bed was very comfortable, the toilet and bath was huge. Perhaps my only comment would be the shower area where you have to step into a tub and there was not a hand rail to hold on to, just the swinging glass partition. It wasn't a bother to me but might be an issue for senior citizens. (the music in the shower and the changing lights were a pleasant surprise, nice to play the relaxing music while taking the shower). Breakfast was very good, and the wait staff/servers very efficient and very good, really kudos to them! They add to the wonderful experience in this hotel. The old city walls in the hotel basement was amazing! Imagine having part of history just below the hotel, we had originally intended to enjoy some drinks there because it looked so cozy and we just wanted to take in the beauty of the place, but sadly, we didn't have much time. At least I have something to look forward to next time. I really really highly recommend this hotel!

The 5-star 138 Liberdade Hotel has a décor with contemporary art pieces, along with vintage details. The trendy property is centrally located in Lisbon's Liberdade Avenue, which is renowned for its prestigious boutiques and restaurants. Such a lovely experience! We stayed for 3 nights in a very big and comfortable room. I actually couldn't believe its size as I am familiar with hotel room sizes in Lisbon and this was huge! The beds are a little hard, but this is a European standard in my experience. We also had a terrace with a nice view, if it had been summer, we would have spent a good deal of time enjoying it. The location is perfect, right on a main street with shops, restaurants and bars. They offer valet parking, which is a heaven-send as you do not need a car if you are staying in this hotel. The breakfast was plentiful and varied, everything was good (except the eggs were a little 'odd' and runny the first morning). They even offered the option of ordering from a small menu, the avocado toast and soft boiled eggs were yummy. We had sushi the first night and it was so good, we returned for more rolls the night before we left. There is nice piano music in the restaurant around dinner time, which flows into the lobby; and the best part of everything?? My favorite bottle of sparkling wine by Dona Ermelinda just waiting in a bucket of ice for you to enjoy in the lobby. The staff was great - especially Miguel. He helped us find the cable we needed to stream Netflix from our laptop (one minus, they don't offer smart TVs, which seems odd for a hotel of this caliber...) and he was always friendly and funny. We are returning to Lisbon next month and we plan on staying here again.

The Vintage Hotel & Spa – Lisbon is a 5-star hotel situated just 300 metres from Lisboa’s lively Avenida da Liberdade. It features a rooftop bar with panoramic views over the city, a heated indoor pool, a spa and a fitness centre. Everything was just perfect ! The hotel is super nice and the staff are excellent. Our room was amazing, more spacious than it looks in the photos. The spa isn’t huge, but it’s really nice and never crowded since you book your slot at the desk. Breakfast = absolutely delicious! We brought our dog along and he was welcome everywhere (except the spa, of course ). One of our favorite moments was ending the day with cocktails on the rooftop — the drinks were fantastic and the view was just stunning. We loved our stay at The Vintage Lisbon and can’t wait to come back! 💕
