Breakfast is very good. Very clean. I strongly recommend this hotel to stay.

Kandalama Heritance is a 20-minute drive from UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the 2,000-year-old cave temple at Dambulla and the Sigiriya rock fortress. The 5-star hotel is a 3.5-hour drive from the airport. It's a fascinating building wonderfully situated right in the heart of the jungle, with plants growing over it. Marvellous views over the nearby lake, just slightly spoiled by the fact that a drought had left it nearly empty. Service was superb with tremendous attention to detail. I enjoyed the meals, both the buffet breakfast and dinner, each of which provided a very wide choice. The rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. A memorable place to stay.

Kogul is an absolute superstar, and we found every staff member friendly, respectful and attentive.. There aren’t very many hotels I have been to where I felt that “I could live here”. The Summit made us feel that way. P.s. they offer candle light dinner at rooftop, that is well worth it.

So great to be away from the craziness of the city to appreciate the natural landscape of Sri Lanka. We will come back!

The accommodation provides room service, a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage for guests. A jewel of a hotel. A magnificent waluwaa which has been lovingly restored and decorated. The art collection is mesmerising especially for anyone with an interest in Sri Lankan art and history. David has done a superb job and we only wished we had stayed longer. The meals on the vernada were superb quality and portion sizes were just right. We enjoyed a walk around the estate grounds. Highly recommended and would lend itself to a longer stay as a well located base and so much nicer than being in Kandy or a large impersonal hotel.

Hotel personal was very friendly and helpful. Kitchen is simply awesome and the wievs from everywhere are stunning. The hotel surrondings is perfectly maintained. Hotel is great for relaxation, we enjoyed it so much, that we prolonged our stay for three more nights.

Each meal at Santani is an experience, and with no printed menus, the chefs propose a menu to each guest based on the dietary preferences and utilizing the fresh organic vegetables grown on site. All room categories are available on a full-board basis. It was all so great I don't even know where to start from. The staff were super helpful and friendly (every single one of them), the food was Michelin-Star-Restaurant level, especially the Sri Lankan options, the rooms were very very clean, spacious, and so comfy that it was extremely relaxing even just staying on the balcony and listen to the birds, without any other sound disturbing in the surroundings. We stayed in the Garden View Chalet, and it was wonderful to be surrounded by all that nature (no TV in the rooms, that's a big plus!). The yoga lessons and the massages were also great, especially the afternoon yoga sessions with Rahul. In brief, if you really want to switch off and actually relax and take care of yourself, skip all the other places in the Hill Country and stay here instead. :)

The staff was super friendly and helpful There was some confusion about the beds for the children but that was also quickly resolved The swimming pool is huge and more than welcome after visiting the temples.
