We had friends that stayed at beach resorts who were just constantly approched on the beach and even sat in their resort outside. We had no problems as its hidden on a nice street away from the sellers but still a 1k cab ride if you do want to be on the beach. The roomswere spotless and as its a brandnew hotel you can tell that nothing has been used. I am sure no one had slept in the bed before I stayed there and its obvious. Mosiqutos plugs in all the rooms and air con switched on so when we arrived it was cool and insect free. Its a boutique hotel so unlike those massive resorts we get served and any request is quick. Food was great and lots of choices of accomodation styles for solo travellers, couples and families.

Personnel is very helpful and extremely nice. The food was excellent to say the least. Juices of natural fruits from the region, great coffee, cereals, eggs, etc. The restaurant is open all day which is very convenient. Room service is served in the dinning table right outside the room. The table is perfectly set and the personal is ready for whatever you need. The Spa is very nice and the person in charge gives fabulous massages. All in all this hotel is a great place to stay when in Malindi for either pleasure or business.
