My extended family stayed for a week at the Bond Estate over the Christmas 2023 period and we had the most marvellous, wonderful stay imaginable, My daughter got married a few miles away and we used the place a venue to get ready and have photographs taken; it was magical. Everything was perfect, from the fantastic, exotic swimming pool and jacuzzi to the outstanding full-on Bar-B-Que. The kitchen was incredibly well appointed and the coffee machine was a real luxury. The place was so well equipped that we comfortably hosted her new in-laws for a full on good, old fashioned English Christmas Dinner. The GIANT projector screen and selection of movies was an absolute delight, (Love Actually on Christmas day has never looked so good), the Tennis court was brand new and saw many a hotly contested rally. (You CAN be serious !!) Tracy (the facility manager) was always available; discreet yet accommodating in every way and a real plus for the premises. (Shout out for Shaun and Rhys the resident friendly Shoats, (Google it ! )) If you are thinking of staying on the outskirts of Christchurch and you want a little luxury in your life then you need look no further than the Bond Estate... we will CERTAINLY be returning.

We flew into Christchurch as we wanted to start our NZ adventure on the South Island. We arrived in the morning and Cathy & Grant let us check in early. Once settled, they suggested some ideas for that afternoon as well as several options for lunch & dinner . All of there recommendations were great. The location of the lodge is in a peaceful garden with a stream flowing through the back yard. We had a great night’s sleep as it has to be one of the quietest places in New Zealand. We spent the next day in Christchurch and a second peaceful night of sleep and we were well on our way to time zone adjustment and ready to explore more of the South Island. Thanks Cathy & Grant

Dyers House is one of Christchurch's best kept secrets. Luxurious rooms and lounge, fabulous views of the city and mountains beyond, pretty garden, a short walk to good restaurants and close to town. Stunning hostel from both the inside and the outside. Less than a 10-minute walk to Christchurch Airport, just past the outlandishly fascinating International Antarctic Centre. Loved the privacy of the pods ("Beam me up, Scotty!"), and the communal areas as well as the sanitary facilities which were large, clean, and functional. However, the overall vibe was a bit off, and the guests were not as talkative and sociable as one might have hoped for but rather aloof and stand-offish, with quite a number of them more or less staring at their phones. Sign of the times, I suppose.

Very clean and neat accommodation. Quiet room inspite location beside busy Riccarton Road. Walking distance to cafes and dining. Johnny was very helpful, leading us and opening door to our 3 bedroom apartment as we had many luggages. He also gave us good transport advice.

Cozy little cottage in a very handy spot. Modernised interior was nice. Yard was abit overgrown but gave a nice rainforest feel.
