2 Pools with lots of room and shade as it was very hot while we were there. The restaurant served superb food and we ate there both nights. The grounds are a picture - manicured grass and beautiful trees. You cannot go wrong staying here.

Where to start? Whether we visited the "sandy beach", "rocky beach", pool or took the private boat over to Ortigia it was simply an amazing time. Truly a world class five star resort.

We loved this hotel. The staff were excellent. When we arrived the front desk clerk gave us all the info about restaurants, landmarks, markets, etc in the area. They recommended two restaurants which we were very satisfied with. If you like seafood, Siracusa is the place for you. The whole hotel looks like it was recently refurbished. All the details have been maintained. I have never seen a more beautiful presentation of the breakfast buffet and the servers were all very well dressed, polite and hospitable. The location is idea... about a 10 min walk and you can be on Ortigia. The welcome drink that we also enjoyed was a nice touch. We felt the price was reasonable for the quality service and lodging we received.

The location is superb, the staff friendly, helpful and knowledgeable while the hotel itself sensational and the restaurant manages to stand out even in the culinary stronghold that is ortigia. I strongly recommend this hotel as a perfect base in Syracuse. It is heads and shoulders above the many city hotels I have stayed at, not just in Syracuse but in Sicily in general.

Offering a rooftop terrace and glass elevator with sea views, the Grand Hotel is next to the main harbour and a 5-minute walk from the Aretusa Fountain.

Nice to walk down the third floor hallway to an awesome breakfast. Seaffront location perfect. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Attendant who parked our car did well.
