We told the checkin staff that we were celebrating our anniversary. They recommended an excellent restaurant and made reservations for us. A shady place at the coast. And the hotel is modern.

Maybe 15-20 minute walk to town...but uphill.

The stand out for us was the exceptional reception staff who went out of their way to make our stay fantastic. They helped us book tours, provided great recommendations and were very flexible and accommodating. If you are paying at the property, you will need to pay by credit card or cash (debit card incurs a substantial fee), so we had to get out cash (pesos) and then convert it to USD at a local currency exchange kiosk. Was easy enough to do but was unexpected. Would highly recommend Maki! We loved our time in Pucon.
