Family hotels and homes in Nyakabande

I recommend this accomodation to everybody coming to Kisoro. It is peacful, green, calm. The garden is amazing and could serve as a destinaton on its own. The host is the kindest imaginable and will cater to your every need. The breakfast is also very tasty.

Exceptionally helpful and kind staff, especially the owner Ivan. He showed us around town and even took us on a small hike and bike tour.

A wonderfull wiev over the lake. We did enjoy the atmosohere by the peacefull place. The food was tasty and healthy. We did prefere the local organic food which was made for us in the restaurant. Also the breakfest was splendid every morning. San was the chef who made tasty vegeterian food for us from local organig ingredients. Peace was the best ever as a waitress, as she was smiling and talking with us . The cottage we had was perfekt with the astonishing wy to the blue lake. We did watch the birds, the stars and we made a wonderfull boattrip on the lake. We had also a trip to a village of pygmis. At the last night we did see a flying star! Then we had the change to hope that we could come back here again! There was also time to make some jogapractising by own. We did read books. We did make meditation daily by ourselves. Also we had time to make watercoulourpainting by us selves of the landscapes. I tried to paint the landscapes which did very much remaind me of William Turners paintings Everything was organaised by a fantastic personal! We were kept so well that it felt almost like at home. The owner Edvard was so kind. He did organise everything for us. It was so nice to visite the pygmivillage and dance with them. Edvard took us to the border of Ruanda. He did help to get trough the formalities. Ores was the excellent guide on our boattrips! Ores took care of telling us how to behave at pygmivillage. He did also tell us very many stories about Uganda. Kampu was the expert to make campfire and drive the motorboat. He was always polite and helpful. Charkotte, the manager, was keeping everything in excellent hands. Always smiling and always helping in everything. With the experiencis of travelling more than hundred countries we do highly recommend this lovely gorgeous place Lake resort! We do both feel like new persons after spending four nights there!! I recently stayed at the Rushaga Gorilla Tracking Lodge in Uganda, just a short walk from Bwindi National Park. The luxury cottage was spacious with a panoramic valley view, ideal for relaxation. The service was exceptional, thanks to the personal touch from the manager, Elizabeth, and her team. The food was a tasty mix of local and Western dishes, including vegetarian options. The lodge’s peaceful atmosphere perfectly complemented the wild surroundings, offering comfort amidst nature. It’s great value for money compared to other nearby lodges. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Bwindi, whether solo, with a group, or with family.

One of the most beautiful place in Uganda! The room was clean a the view from terrace is amazing. Wycliffe can arrange transport from the city or some activities. The food is also very good and all staff are very nice. Highly recommend place to visit, offering peaceful retreat.

Very nice and calm place, ideal to relax, the staff is welcoming and helpful! We had a wonderful stay :) There are a lot of activities you can book, we chose to rent a canoe in the morning and it was great fun!
