Big kind welcome by Joseph. He understood what two weary cyclist needed after a day in 35+ temperatures. Even let us choose from two big apartments and threw in a free breakfast at five!! In the morning so we could start pedaling in agreeable temperatures.. big 10 out of 10

This is by far one of the most special places we’ve been to. I read a review where one said it was worth the 500 km detour from Tunis, I’ll give you a better one: it’s worth a 4000 km detour from Amsterdam! The setting, the views, the amazing rooms, the village itself, the location, the hospitality and company and above all, the delicious dinner and breakfast. It was perfect from start to finish. I could not recommend it enough, the best accommodation in Tunisia. We received a very warm welcome from the owners. They served us traditional food, which we ate on the terrace with great views over the canyon and mountains. Squeaky clean room, beautifully furnished and spacious. The region is very peaceful and clean, Toujane is a great choice for a "base" to make daytrips from, see the ksars, Sahara desert and even Tozeur (whole day of driving there and back but it's worth it).
