Mountain Paradise Bliss occupies the upper floors of Nilowin Glenanore guesthouse (managed by another member of the same family). It has a quiet location on the edge of a tea estate near Adisham monastery, about 3km from Haputale town. The rooms are large, modern and well-equipped, with private bathrooms. The balconies have wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. Tasty local meals are available. Shan and his wife Piyumi are charming young professional hosts who can arrange excursions and hikes (including Horton Plains, Lipton’s Seat, Ella, Pekoe Trail). I have stayed here 4 times and am already planning my next visit.

We had a wonderful 16-day vacation in a very peaceful and relaxing environment.Home from away Home. The owner & his family are very friendly & kind people. They took care of everything we needed & fulfilled it very responsibly. They were even more enthusiastic about our food, drinks and travel than we were.Their food is delicious, there is no argue about it. They also took us to see the Namunukula Mountains ( Naamunukula hill top ) The trip was very beautiful. It was a unique experience for us. We were able to relax to our hearts content due to the very eco-friendly environment.Mr. Thushara & his wife Devika graciously entertained us with all the amenities. The most beautiful days we spent were unforgettable days at Ceylon Shadow. Even though the vacation period was over, we did not feel like going home, we were so sad to leave 🥺.. Everything. The family are exceptional.lovely adults and children make the stay unique.the view from the room is unbelievable and addictive. The ultra comfy beds make sleeping sooo good. Breakfast options are great and you can tailor them to your likes. We've done a couple of trips to sri lanka and taken time to drive our jeep to roads less travelled. I've definitely rate this as the best value place we've ever stayed in. It was so sad to leave which is the ultimate compliment

Most of all the family running the guesthouse. Everyone were so kind, and helpful in any way possible. We had such a great and fun stay. We did the cooking class, highly recommended, don’t miss out. We stayed 4 days and had all our meals there. They are doing really great cooking. After 8 weeks travelling in Sri Lanka the last year, we never had anything but good experiences, but this guesthouse is now our favourite, first of all because of the genuinely warmhearted family.

Nilowin is an incredible guesthouse, we had a family room and it was huge well two massive beds, a very large bathroom and stunning views across the whole valley. The room was immaculate and breakfast delicious and enormous! But best of all are the owners who are the kindest hosts and bent over backwards to help us with everything. We did their brilliant cooking class and our two children loved chopping and getting involved, the food was absolutely delicious! We also did a tea factory tour which was fascinating.

We liked the place very much. The family who runs it is so friendly and generous. Unfortunately both our children got sick during our stay but we had a lot of help to go to doctor etc. The family really tries to give you a little extra help so that your stay will be pleasant. The rooms are basic but clean. The wiews are stunning (if it is not raining...) The food is excellent!
