Very nice located home with fantastic view over Badulla. Short distance to city center, easy to get to by TukTuk. Quiet and clean. The rooms and bathrooms have a good size. Nice little pool to cool down and have a break. The owner is very friendly and helpful in all kind of things and comes with good tips for day activities and places to go/to eat. We had some fantastic days and can highly recommend this place.

We liked everything during our stay for two nights. Breakfast was great and the ordered dinner as well was nicely prepared. Staff is very helping. It is surrounded by lush green landscape, flowing water. Very beautiful and scenic. The location is a bit challange to reach but the managment is pro-actively reached out to us and arrange a ride for us. Overall a great place to stay for whatever reason you may have for your visit, this place is an outstanding location, very friendly staff and management. Please call managment before heading there to arrange a ride for you and be rest assured for your entire stay.

The apartment is beautiful. The host found out our arrival time in advance and met us in the evening for check-in. The place was very clean, comfortable, and mosquito-free — there were fumigators in the rooms. Special thanks for the water, kettle, and tea bags. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept really well. The bathroom was clean too. In the morning, we woke up to an amazing view of the mountains and the river through the palm trees. The area is peaceful, with birds singing. We highly recommend this place!

I always use this hotel when I travel to Badulla. The reason is that the hotel is in the city center, so it is very convenient for exploring the city of Badulla, and the price is very good. Also, the facilities are clean, and all the staff are very friendly. The food at the restaurant is also very delicious. We stayed at Orelia with our 9-year-old son and had a great time. The place is located about 20 minutes walk from the center of Badulla, which in my opinion is a perfect balance between peaceful rest and easy access to the busy and noisy city. Badulla itself is a fantastic place to experience real local life. It’s a typical Sri Lankan town with very few tourists, and the people are incredibly friendly. I highly recommend visiting Badulla if you're looking for an authentic taste of Sri Lanka. As for the accommodation, there are a few wooden bungalows to choose from. Some are small, some are larger — we saw three of them, and each had its own unique charm. The smallest one had an amazing view and a spacious patio. The two larger ones had a second floor with stairs that might not be ideal for elderly guests, but they also had balconies and patios. The staff were extremely helpful and always willing to assist — whether it was doing the shopping, ordering meals from local restaurants, or anything else we needed. I highly recommend this place if you're planning a visit to Badulla.

We had a warm welcome by our hosts. Railway Villa is situated next to the station which is very handy when to catch the train to Kandy and you want to avoid the crowds in Ella. Beds were the most comfortable beds we had so far in Sri Lanka. And the warm shower was also very nice. The hosts are so friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend to stay here instead of noisy and busy Ella!

The setting is marvellous. The staff cold not be more friendly, helpful and customer oriented. The cuisine is excellent. And the chef even went the extra mile to cook for us Sri Lankan delicacies, which were not on the menu.

This was our favourite stay on the Pekoe Trail and one of the nicest places we've stayed in Sri Lanka! The guesthouse is absolutely stunning, set up in the hills with beautiful views. Our room was spacious and very clean with a comfy bed and a good bathroom. We loved sitting outside the room taking in the views. Hosts were amazing - so kind and really looked after us. We had dinner and breakfast here, both were great. The guesthouse is a little way off the Pekoe Trail (totally worth it for the amazing views) and they very kindly picked us up from the railway station and dropped us back there in the morning.
