Family hotels and homes in Ŭijŏngbu-yŏk

Amazing location and beautifully set up apartment which was perfect for us and our two daughters. The hosts were extremely accommodating and responsive going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable.

1. The host was excellent and answered all our questions very quickly. 2. The metro is really close; just get off at exit #2 and go straight ahead (Olive Young is on the left). 3. We stayed at this apartment after staying at a hotel in Beijing. There was everything we needed for washing and drying clothes, which was very convenient. 4. We asked for umbrellas because it was very rainy upon arrival, and the host provided them promptly. 5. The area is surrounded by a market with vegetables, fruits, pickles, processed meats, and cafes—it's definitely hard to go hungry. There are two 7/11 stores nearby. 6. The apartment is on the 3rd floor of a building that looks like something from a dorama, with a cafe on the ground floor. We didn't hear any noise. 7. The apartment has everything you need for your entire stay: shower gel, shampoo, laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, waste bags, a washing machine and dryer, slippers, cleaning cloths, toilet paper, etc. The instructions for using the appliances (they're all in Korean) were very helpful. 8. Myeongdong is a direct line from our subway station. This doesn't apply to the hotel. I recommend carrying a small amount of won in cash. T-Money cards are only available in cash; we couldn't withdraw money from an ATM. There are no currency exchange offices in the area (good rates are only found in tourist areas). We were lucky – we arrived on a weekday, and the bank (KB) was open, so we were able to exchange currency. Almost no one here speaks English. I highly recommend downloading Papago. The metro apps KakaoMap (with tips on transfers, fares, and routes), NAVER Map were also very helpful.

A very beautiful apartment that has everything we need in terms of the kitchen and rooms. The beds are very good and the living room is spacious and comfortable.

The accomodation is spacious and private - you have complete access to a fully furnished home and also the granny flat, so everyone can have some space to themselves. The little courtyard garden is pleasant, and the beautiful tea room is perfect for quiet contemplation.

The property is clean, easy to locate and access. We love the Korean style’s stay, would share it to my friends.

JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul is a lovely hotel and the staff are absolutely amazing - it is a lovely clean hotel and has everything that you need. Rooms are immaculate, we had a corner suite with wonderful views. House keeping staff kept the room immaculate and all the staff were extremely friendly. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and we ate at the steak restaurant for one meal which was perfect. Probably one of the nicest hotels that we have stayed in.
