GermanyWe spent 3 wonderful days at the cottage in October. As the weather slowed us down a bit, we were able to enjoy our time in the really cosy house and relax a bit. The house is very spacious and is tastefully decorated. Everything you need was there. We didn't want for anything.
The owners are very accommodating and warm. We will be very happy to come back!

An old farmhouse with a lot of charme, a very scenic location. Cozy and clean room with bathroom, a very family atmosphere and a very nice and friendly owner. In the evening there is a homemade soup for everyone, in the morning a typical Icelandic breakfast with home-baked bread, homemade waffles and many other things. There is also a hot pot behind the house. We felt very comfortable. We recommend.

The guesthouse is a charming old house in the beautiful countryside, close to hiking trails, as well as access to lava tube and ice cave tours. Our room upstairs had everything we needed, including a comfortable bed and nice bathroom with shower. The hosts were exceptionally gracious, told us interesting things about their family and the area, and fed us very, very well. It was a wonderful experience staying here!

Second time I've stayed there. Special place, Sammi is a great host. Love the family style everyone around the table breakfast and dinner made by Sammi - who would think sweet potato soup is so good? Nice location, very close to Hraunfossar plus good hiking either up mountain or inside ravine with waterfall plus the property itself is unique. I routed part of my trip to specifically be able to stay there a couple days again.

Such a pleasant night with an outstanding view. In a secluded traditional house, handled by a welcoming family, serving us traditional food. Located at the starting point of diverse hikes and close to the Hraunfossar waterfall.
