Everything, randomly The warm welcome from the owner and family, The location and the surrounding environment, The bedroom beautifully conceived with walls out of wood, cupboard, sofa, small table, very comfortable bed (even with bedsheet, not always easy to find in Kashmir). I am a solo woman traveler, and I would totally recommend this to other travelers! The location of the property is amazing, you could easily get to the main spots like Lal chowk or Dal lake by auto (5 minutes) or a walk (20-25 minutes). The room was cozy and comfortable with an electric blanket. There are restaurants (vegetarian too) around at a walkable distance. The homestay owner Faraz bhai is an extremely humble person, and he also helped me plan my onward travel, helping with cabs and stay bookings at other places. The home made kehwa is delicious, and overall the experience of staying in a traditional Kashmiri house was beautiful!
