The rooms were kept neat and tidy and spacious good enough for 6 of us including a child bathrooms were hygienic and well maintained with 24 hours water availability. The home stay is spacious with three bed rooms a couple of them air conditioned and one of them not with A/C . Kitchen was well equipped but for a gas stove or electric stove and will be available soon as per the host . The home stay will be more efficient if equipped with an RO water purifier. The host and their family were very friendly and caring and were supportive .

What a special time we had with Vijesh and his wonderful family at the homestay. I cannot recommend Munroe island and Vijesh’s home enough if you want a genuine authentic backwaters experience. The sunrise boat trip with Vijesh was one of the most memorable things we did in India as well as paddleboarding up the river and swimming in the backwaters. We ate the most delicious home cooked meals. The room was extremely comfortable and the communal spaces were very peaceful with hammocks included. We could do laundry as well which was really appreciated. Vijesh is a lovely person, great to talk to and we loved watching the snake boat races with him. He also helped organise a rickshaw when we had to leave. Going for walks around the home stay was a big highlight too. All in all this was a fantastic experience and we recommend to all!

Lovely quit place, all new and clean. With really nice food, and very helpful and sweet Deepa and her lovely parents. Deepa speaks good English, knows all and arranges what we wanted. We enjoyed everything!

We loved everything about this property. Vishnu has created the most perfect space for ultimate relaxation on the beautiful canals of Munroe Island. Vishnu, his wonderful wife Pooni and their two children were incredible to us during our stay, helping us with anything we needed and showing us their island home. Pooni also is an amazing cook, providing wonderful local South Indian foods. Vishnu also took us on a sunset canal tour for multiple hours which was absolutely fantastic, with Vishnu explaining the history and traditions on the Island as we went along. Two bikes are also provided for us to ride around the Island at our own pace exploring everywhere. Overall we loved our stay, and would recommend to anyone who would like to wind down from their busy travels and relax for a few nights. With great wifi speeds, there is also the option of extending your stay and settling down with Vishnu and his family for a few months.

We had a wonderful stay at Venice of Munroe. This little BnB is tucked away in a peaceful village, just a few minutes walk from the water. The two rooms are spacious, clean, and equipped with everything you need, including air conditioning. The kitchen is brand new and clean. It has a garden, surrounded by nature, where you can relax. And they have a nice chairs to sit in the garden. The owner, along with his wife and daughter, made our stay special. They took care of everything for us. We did a sunrise boat trip with the owner, which was beautiful. They provided bikes, fresh coconuts, and delicious home-cooked meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And we went to see the sunset and morning kayaking. I would definitely recommend Venice of Munroe!
