The staff was very helping, both when we arrived Munroe Island late at night, but also when we wanted to go for activities during the day. They were available on the phone throughout the whole day, and answered all the questions we had. We even got to borrow their scooter, to discover other villages nearby! The power went out during the day, and they changed our rooms to a new one with power, without us even asking. Very good service, and friendly people:)

Adil and Goodwin were hosting and they are very friendly and jovial. We have a shared kitchen to cook food, and rental bicycles to roam around the beautiful Munroe island. And also its lakefront view and they have kayaking as well. I've been in the HostelExp Varkala and liked the vibe there and came here and it's worth it. Everything was perfect. There are two rooms available and a shared kitchen which are all new. Everything is as per the photos. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast available is delicious, as are the dinners cooked by Sujilal’s wife. You can organise all trips through Sujilal, as well as onward travel. This is the perfect place to stay whilst in Munroe Island.

The family were incredible. So welcoming and willing to assist us with anything we might need. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is great. The family also offered us dinner and breakfast and both were delicious!

I was supposed to stay a week but I stayed a month. The property looks even nicer than in the pictures, I’ve biked a lot around the island and this seems to be the best homestay around. Garden is cute and the whole thing is literally 5 meters from river. Food is really good (I had 3 meals per day cooked for me). The best part, though, is the staff who could not be friendlier, more accommodating and helpful, e.g. when I said I’d like to see monkeys, they called someone the same moment and arranged to take me to a temple the following day. Totally recommend.
