Great location close to the village of Kilcar. Close to the magnificent Atlantic sea and Slive Leig cliffs , You get a house in the country side , yes a whole house complete with a new kitchen. Quiet, I had the best nights sleep in months. Krista and Stephen are a lovely couple.

The Carrick Gate is just an all round great place. Located on the river right in town. So clean, newly refurbished, comfortable and excellent Continental breakfast with loads of choices. We were the only ones there being winter so it was lovely and quiet. We booked late and had a bit of delay making phone contact for the key, but that was fixed up quickly for us. Amazing location and the cottage was beautiful and peaceful. Spent most of our time in the cottage reading and listening to the river or sitting in the hot tub watching the waterfalls, while the dogs lay in the garden. Fintra beach was a short drive away, or walk if you want. Grace was very responsive to messages and provided all information we needed for an enjoyable stay. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a peaceful getaway in nature ☺️
