Absolutely fabulous place. After half an hour hike through the forest you arrive to this well maintained place. True that the eating depends on what you bring with you but there is always someone who has more than needs. The trails are great and very well marked.

The best place we stayed in Costa Rica. Dario and Frederica have set up something special here in Dos Brazos, near the Corcovado National Park. Set in the heart of the jungle, in a lovely small Gold Mining village this beautiful guest house is a fantastic place to stay. Great welcome, the most comfortable bed, shower and space of our trip so far. A lovely fresh breakfast, great self catering facilities (but Frederica is a chef and will cook your dinner). Watching the jungle birds from their deck was a true joy. They went out of their way to book us a guide for a day exploring the jungle - a shout out to Jose who was a brilliant tour guide to the jungle. He grew up in the village, was fantastically knowledgeable about animals, history and Costa Rican life. Speaking excellent English. He is also a great artist - get him to show you the furniture he makes. Dos Brazos is also worth a mention such a lovely little village, the residents there welcomed guests so warmly, everyone we met had a smile and hola. Try the homemade ice creams advertised from small house! Perfect treat after a hot walk. La Casita means little house, but this is a little house with a big heart thanks to Dario and Frederica’s love and attention to detail. I had a fantastic stay! Kerley and Stefanny were such amazing hosts - so kind and helpful. Kerley is an incredible guide, he notices everything and have such extensive knowledge. Thank you for a great time and experiencing so much incredible nature.

The owners husband is the guide. And he is so amazing. You must take one of their guided tours. Book the big house with the pool, worth the exstra money for private garden and more space

I was lucky enough to be one of the first guests at El Cerrito and I had the most amazing time there. Lis and Dan were so welcoming and the cabin was really comfortable and peaceful, exactly what I was looking for. I saw all kinds of wildlife there - monkeys, tucans, macaws, iguanas, frogs, humming birds, butterflies and sloths. It really felt like being in the jungle but with all the comforts of home. I was originally planning on doing a tour in Corcovado but I ended up doing a tour here with local guides instead and I'm so happy that I did. I got to see so many animals at a fraction of the price of what I would have paid at Corcovado. I will definitely be coming back here again in the future!

Amazing 2 BR house in the middle of the jungle! Clean, spacious, everything we needed. We really enjoyed our time in there. Cooked dinner outside on the patio and spent the evening watching the stars and listening to the sounds from the jungle. Saw monkeys and birds from the patio. Total relaxation. The owner of the place, Alexander, took good care of us. We could also book a guide to our Corcovado tour through him. Would highly recommend!!!

It’s got a great driveway, spacious house with two levels, great mosquito netting that goes around the bed, 3 bathrooms, lovely pets including a friendly parrot 🦜 and the outside patio is well kept and the pool stylish (and illuminated in the evenings!). We stayed for 6 nights with Geraldo and his family and they were very welcoming and even gave us fresh bananas and coconut waters daily. His wife did our washing and folded it really neatly. We were never bored as there is so much to do on the Osa Peninsula and we really missed the place and all the people and animals living there when we left. We saw squirrel monkeys from the balcony in the morning and saw macaws fly over the house regularly.

Very nicely embedded wooden house with all comforts near Puerto Jimenez. Owner (surfing teacher) super nice took us for a short hike in the jungle at Malapolo at no cost. He gave lots of info of what was possible.
