Friendly staff, my friend and I were even lucky to get an upgrade. Nice common area with free water, coffee, tea. You can even cook, there's everything you need in the kitchen. The facilities were also clean and you're even in walking distance to the main station (less than 10mns). We had a pleasant stay, will definitely recommend and come back here.

The location is the best, it locates in the heart of Ximending. Their staff is very helpful, you can order the pineapple pies or famous crackers from the reception. And staff helped us called the van transfer to the airport.

Amazing place, I've stayed at five different hostels in Taipei. They've all been good, even great. But I think Star Hostel has been exceptional. It's a little pricey than some, but well worth it.

The staff were very pleasant, accommodating and helpful. The rooms was spotless, well lit, and the bed was comfortable. I requested for extra pillows, and they were provided immediately, at no extra cost.

It was quiet, 1 block to a Park, 2 blocks in either way to subway stations. Very very clean and they were generous with amenities.
