Best place in Sri Lanka! I'm usually too lazy to write reviews, but this one is truly worth it. We found ourselves in the middle of a jungle. Everything was meticulously maintained and clean. At the end of the trail was our room. The pool was beautiful, and the decor was tastefully done. The private beach is just a stone's throw away. I don't know what else to say. The staff was incredibly kind, and we're leaving with regret for not having stayed more nights. Highly recommended!

Aruni and the Blue Ocean resort team were amazing from start to finish. We booked the ocean view room and it was so stunning that we decided to stay for a month. During that month, we got help from Aruni with booking lagoon tours, setting up a trip to both the safari parks that were nearby and a lot of other things. Whenever we needed tuktuks she would go out of her way to arrange it for us. One time I had to take a sick stray dog to the vet and she arranged everything with the vet and tuktuk to take me there, she even fed him and now he is there often and it was very sweet and she really did not have to do that. I cannot recommend Blue Ocean enough to anyone thinking about staying here. The beach is quiet and huge, there is so much wildlife nearby and there are a couple of restaurants nearby. Whenever we wanted to eat at the resort we would ask her in advance for some fish, lobsters and shrimp. On our last day they even had bbq which was very tasty. Thank you Blue Ocean team. We will definitely be back! And we already miss the two (now three haha) dogs Brownie, Emma and Cheese ball :D

I left with tears in my eyes! the staff is very attentive and welcoming! I really liked the room overlooking the garden, it was quiet and peaceful. The breakfasts are very tasty, thank you very much!

In our opinion, the positon is great, close to some beautiful beaches (e.g. slient beach where we could swim), not too far from Tangalle by bike or tuk tuk (10 min) if you fancy a more vibrant atmosphere for a day, modern rooms (with real hot water), relaxing and very clean. They have also bike to rent which is very convenient to exlore the area. Last but not least, the staff is extremely nice and helpful. We highly recommend Sky Resort.

The staff is great, extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast and dinner is very good and of high quality. Absolutely good value for money. The grounds are beautiful with a large variety of tropical trees and other plants and a lovely swimming pool for use at any time of day or night.We loved our stay here, best part of our Sri Lankan trip and would highly recommend staying here.The bast place we’ve been to in Sri Lanka.

This place is an amazing calm oasis. The bungalows are spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We loved the garden with all the palm trees and the pool area with a view of the lake where you can see many different birds. We also spotted monkeys in the trees. Highly recommend this hotel!

Cleanest huge room ever. The owner built 2 floors big rooms bungalow, so every accomodation doesn’t have direct neighbors and therefore is quite and private . The bed was king and comfortable, very big bathroom , hot water and high pressure. We slept without AC and appreciate the ceiling fan. Breakfast was great: every day something different is offered . The position is unbeatable, close to a beautiful Long Beach ( no swimming though). The owner went an extra mile to arrange a scooter , provide meeKiri and always asked if we needed anything . The surrounding area offers a large number of restaurants and cafes , very quiet st night and the lagoon is pure poetry . We are now in talalla and no comparison : we miss already SHINE.

Perfect place. The room is big and the room is VERY clean. The bed is big and comfortable. There is also a little refrigerator with is very nice to have to water and more. The A/C works flawlessly. There is a little private place in front of the room where you can sit outside in a small couch and relax. The beach is very close and the place is locatet in a little street, so there is not much street noise. Breakfast is plenty and varied. Service is very good and the host is pleasant and very helpful with everything you need as transportation, good advice and more.

For us, the location was perfect since it is a bit outside of Tangalle (about 20 minutes via Tuktuk), and the resort is located directly on a wonderfully quiet beach. The apartment was also perfectly clean, built very well with attention to detail, had an amazing view of the Indian Ocean, and was cleaned very well daily. But what made our stay so exceptional was the staff, who were so nice, friendly, and professional. We truly enjoyed interacting with them, felt welcome, and they helped us in every way to make our holiday as nice as it has been. They organized the transport for our safari to Udawalawe and helped us find a good and decent place to rent the Jeep. On the last evening the very nice friend of the owner Gerry invited us to a meditation session, which we enjoyed very much. Thank you, OMIA Team! Especially Mahesh!
