Having a private onsen in the room is great, but I wasn’t expecting the food to be the true highlight of the experience! Both breakfast & dinner were superb, cooked with local ingredients using local recipes; Hoba Miso entering my top 10 of fav Japanese dishes.

The owner was so kind, showing us everything we needed to know and awaiting our arrival each day. The location was beautiful, Fukuji-onsen is very peaceful. And the indoor onsen was divine. Thank you so much.

One of the best places I've ever stayed. Look forward to coming back some day and making it longer than just 1 night.

Amazing couple who runs the place. They don’t speak english, but we had no problems getting by with body language and an online translator. Both indoor and outdoor onsen and right by the bus station! Easy to purchase dinner if it’s not included in your booking.

Very close to the bus station, we stopped here on our way from Matsumoto to Takayama.
Japanese-style room (ryokan), on the table a Japanese tea set (a teapot and bowls) with good sencha tea is waiting.
The available natural hot springs are a great place to rest and relax.
Meals in an atmospheric atmosphere in a yakuta with haori. Dinner is really delicious, quite decent fine dining. Breakfast is equally good.

The dinner experience was amazing. A lot of typical japanese plates, plus sake. We ordered the hida beef. Also, the onsen is very relaxing, even more when it is raining outside.
However, the best of Kazeya is its personal: lovely people.
