We stayed in Shion room which was really special with a stove in the living room, a foot bath room and indoor bath. The outdoor public bath was really good too, and not crowded at all in the morning. The service provided by all the staff was very welcoming, making us feel relax and comfortable. Really enjoy the stay.

Staying in Okyakuya guesthouse was my first stay in a traditional Japanese inn and also, my first onsen experience, and both exceeded expectations. The guesthouse is charming and rooms traditional. We stayed in one of the most affordable rooms but it was still super comfortable and aesthetically very pleasing, as was the rest of the building and the entire town, really. The yukata provided by the guesthouse are very good quality and the several onsens have a timeless yet modern vibe. The staff is very friendly. We also had breakfast which was superb. We came specially from Fukuoka for one night and were glad we did. I would go back any time.

To be honest, its one of the best places we have stayed for winter in Japan. The entire place was beautiful, isolated (in a way) , snowed beautifully, exceed our expectations. Pros loved the isolation, quietness, serenity Cabin feel, tons of space they are fully equipped, i mean really equipped with everything and it all updated tech, breadmaker to smokless grills to oven with steamer etc... PRIVATE ONSEN BBQ in winter Great deck outdoors Ultimately, its a accomodation to die for if you want to be off the grid and just relax. we truly enjoyed the place and the service that they given us, prompt response and excellent help from them. Hope to be back again here in winter!!

The Building Designed is the best in this zone(Kurokawa onsen). It's use the space and level of slope so good. I love the view and room space so much.

This stay was really amazing. The owners are the sweetest ! We didn't have a car, so they drove us to the village for Onsen and groceries, and gave us great advice. We just had to take a taxi back, and enjoy our time at the huge and well-furnished cottage. The bathroom is amazing, and you can even privatize Mori's cottage's Onsen. Mori no cottage goes above and beyond. Thank you so much!
