I'll preface this by saying that I really only stayed one night, so the room had much more than what I needed (see: the kitchenette and the washing machine). However, the whole experience was great. The host was super nice and amicable, the checking in was simple, founding the house was even easier... Even inside it was super cozy, the big room was super spacious! The single room was way smaller and lacking a closet, but it doesn't matter at all when travelling with family (it did have something for you to hang your clothes. I personally struggled to understand how the covers worked, but it didn't worsen my sleep at all. And also, it's probably on me. Overall, I'll suggest it. It's obviously a bit far from the city centre (10/15mins with the tram 47, of which the stop is basically right outside), but it's a great option for those who don't need to be right at the centre of the city. The river is also very close, there's a very nice park 15' walk from the house with a great view of the park and a supermarket really nearby. Honestly, I couldn't ask for more.

I recommend Shantee house for everyone and anyone, it's truly an experience. I had the greatest time here and made a lot of friends. A brand new apartment in a group of blocks still under construction, with lots of offices and restaurants around, plus a very pleasant park surrounding a bay in the Danube. The apartment is equipped with everything you need and even more, looks impeccable and is quiet. The wifi is perfect for remote work. The host is very kind and responds super quickly. Definitely one of the top 5 places I've stayed at in Budapest.

We were surprised how good and clean apartament was with many facilities (PS4, videos, TV, toaster washing machine, full kitchen equipment, air conditioning, automatic windows blinds etc) around 20 min from the centre. Beds were comfortable communication with owner clear. Price was quite cheap and definetly worth it.
