My recent stay at The Langham Shanghai Xintiandi was absolutely wonderful.
The staff were incredibly thoughtful and professional – from helping with early arrangements for a special occasion for my parents to offering excellent dining recommendations, everything felt personalized and warm.
The room my parents stayed in was beautiful and perfect for their celebration.
While my own room had a slight odor initially, the team handled it promptly after I informed the front desk, which I truly appreciated.
One moment that truly stood out was when I encountered a dishonest taxi driver attempting to overcharge me more than four times the normal fare. Several hotel staff members (three or four, in fact) came outside to support and assist me immediately. Thanks to their calm and assertive help, the situation was resolved, and I felt completely safe and looked after.
I’m sincerely grateful to those staff members for going above and beyond – because of them, what could have been a distressing moment turned into a reminder that kindness and professionalism can shine through, even in the most unexpected situations.
Overall, the experience was memorable, and I would happily recommend The Langham to friends and family. Thank you for making our stay so special – and for helping me end my Shanghai trip with a truly positive impression of the city.
