If I only had one word to describe Chez Jean and Daisy, it would be: Magical. This bed and breakfast in a sleepy hamlet outside of Basel near the German border is nothing short of a treasure. Everything in the house is steeped in history, charm, and beauty. Immediately upon walking in the gate to the property, you are greeted with an elegant garden. At the door, the wise and wonderful Jean embraces you with a larger-than-life personality. Daisy, with her warmth and loveliness, becomes no stranger too. The breakfast is served downstairs in the shadow of a ticking clock that has more character than a Victor Hugo novel. The bread is homemade and deliciously unique.

It's a lovely place to stay. Nice rooms, good bed, really tasty breakfast. Not in the city center, but it is a small city so you don't notice. The staff is really helpful and the spaces and the rooms are clean. Even the bathrooms are clean, and the showers are good enough to bring your things with you. Also, they give you a city card, so you don't have to pay for public transport and you get discounts on different places around the city.

Comfortable room and bed, good continental breakfast. I liked that they have a water, coffee and fruit station which you can access anytime you want. The team is polite and eager to help, check-in and check-out processes were very smooth.

This boutique hotel is amazing. From the excellent and caring staff (Alex) to the facilities where they have thought of everything you need for a great stay. A welcome drink, a beautiful garden and a lovely room with the best shower, night lights, power blinds and great coffee. I wish we'd had a longer stay. Highly recommend.

It is a very nice, clean, new, stylish apartment. We enjoyed our stay there. The place has 2 toilets, that was very handy for a big group)) We forgot a thermos bottle, so the host kindly helped us and left it in the locket, so that we could pick it up. Near is a supercharger and a shopping center.
