The traditional stone-built units are inserted in natural surroundings which include a garden and a flock of sheep. Beautiful place with garden, animals and great hikes nearby. The staff is very welcoming and kind. The home is clean and comfortable. The breakfast basket is amazing idea. We had a great time at Chao do Rio. We would like to come back again in the future. We highly recommend this place for anyone.

The hotel and gardens are beautiful and well kept and the rooms very comfortable. Amazing view. Very good breakfast.
