La CASA DA ILHA - Slow Living Residence & Suites, situada en la ciudad de Ponta Delgada, en la costa sur de la isla de São Miguel, ofrece una ubicación privilegiada junto al mar. Everything. The location was ideal for us. The staff was 10/10, we had early check out and we would not be able to have breakfast and they prepared something for us and had it placed in the room. The breakfast was very good quality and I was actually shocked. In the afternoon there is cake offered for free - don’t hesitate to try it. It is very good. 24/7 coffee for free, ice tea and tea. I must also add something for the decoration - I loved it. Minimal making the place really relax for me.

El Octant Furnas de 4 estrellas está ubicado en la isla de São Miguel, en el Vale das Furnas, sitio de la mayor concentración de aguas termales de Europa. Nos trataron muy bien a mi pareja y a mi, celebramos una fecha muy especial y de la mejor forma gracias al equipo del hotel. Las piscinas de aguas termales son increíbles y tienen al lado el sauna y otras instalaciones. El buffet de desayuno es muy completo y el área del restaurant es bellísima. El bar también es espectacular. La habitación tiene todo lo que necesitamos y más!

Este hotel, situado en el corazón de Ponta Delgada, tiene una terraza en la azotea con vistas panorámicas al océano Atlántico, las montañas y la ciudad. El puerto deportivo se encuentra a 500 metros. Lovely staff on reception were very helpful. Good value and nicer inside than outside, spotlessly clean room plenty of space, lovely toiletries. Excellent breakfast more than expected at that price.

El MS Vila Nova está situado en el centro de Ponta Delgada, a 1 km del Convento da Esperança. El hotel tiene piscina al aire libre. The location was perfect, in walking distance from the airport, which can be felt througout the stay as you could frequently see airplanes landing or taking off but due to the soundproof windows this is not as bothersome (it was kind of cool actually). The swimming pool was nice! (we also had one plane fly directly above us as we swam) - there are like 10 flights a day and only during the day, being a city airport, there are no flights during the night - so you don't have to fear that a plane will wake you up mid-night. The swimming pool was rarely occupied (we were staying mid-may) the initial dip was a bit cold but it got better fast enough. The staff was super nice, especially the bartender we met on our arrival. The room was nice and clean, with water and capsule coffee being refreshed daily (a regular and a decaf per person per day), the breakfast buffet had a wide enough selection so we could mix up our breakfast across our stay (and always it was nice). All in all a perfect stay, I can definitely recommend this hotel. 😊 PS: the maracuja Kima is a must try! (available at the bar)

El VIP Executive Azores alberga un restaurante con vistas panorámicas al océano. El hotel se halla a menos de 1 km del puerto deportivo de Ponta Delgada. Amazing hotel! Stayed here for 6 nights and loved it. Super nice staff, plenty of free parking on the street and we loved our daily walks into the city. Great Gin & Tonics at the bar! Breakfast was delicious with some local options.

El Pico do Refúgio - Casas de Campo combina un entorno natural con historia, arte y vistas al mar. El ambiente es espectacular, acogedor, relajante. Un sitio mágico con ambiente íntimo y familiar. Recomendable totalmente! El desayuno muy bueno.

El Vintage Place - Azorean Guest House es un establecimiento colorido ubicado en la isla de São Miguel, a unos 5 minutos a pie del centro histórico de Ponta Delgada. Muy amplio muy cómodo todo limpio. El desayuno perfecto, abundante tranquilo y variado, con un amplio margen horario

El Azores Urban Lodge ocupa un edificio centenario reformado con una terraza mágica con mesas de comedor y una piscina al aire libre. Ofrece conexión WiFi gratuita. This place was perfect to stay the first few nights in Sao Miguel. It had everything you need- comfy bed, separate bathroom and a equipped kitchen. I stayed in a single room the first night and then my friends and I shared a room with three single beds and attached bathroom. Parking can be tricky- the streets are narrow but we did not have any problems finding spots near the lodge. Also, you will hear planes overhead- this is close to the airport so it makes it convenient in that way but if you don't want that noise, you will want to stay farther away from the airport.
