Located within the walls of the Marvão Castle, at the top of the high village of Marvão, Dom Dinis Marvão features a rooftop terrace with a Jacuzzi® and panoramic views of the countryside below. It offers air-conditioned guestrooms. The place is very cozy and really well located, very close to the castle. The room was great, very well decorated and a beautiful view. The staff is very friendly and helped us for a dinner reservation in a close restaurant, with great food.

Housed in a former Alentejo convent, it dates back to the 12th century with 750 hectares. A very interesting convent in lovely countryside. We could explore the historic building. We were here in November so didn’t get chance to use the swimming pool but that looked worth coming back for. There are a couple of great walks laid out in the Convent estate. We had a good dinner in the restaurant. The room and breakfast were excellent, staff very helpful. We have already recommended it to friends who also travel in the area.

Place was so unique with gardens and house but mostly the animals stole my heart! I would recommend this stay!

The Estalagem de Marvão is located within the historic walled town center of Marvão. This restored property has comfortable rooms in an ancestral environment in the Portuguese Interior and includes a shop selling regional products. This B&B is amazing. In historic house with charm and character, fantastic location, just 200 meters from the wall entrance where we parked our car, cosy and comfortable room, fantastic choices for breakfast. Very friendly owners, excellent communication and instructions. Place looks even better than it is presented online (booking.com). We hope to be back one day and stay longer.

Located within a 10-minute drive from Beja Airport, the Monte da Diabroria – Agroturismo is a tranquil property in the Alentejo. The typically rural guest house features an outdoor swimming pool and a lush green garden. Very interesting place, it is a working farm. The people were very nice and helpful. Loved seeing the history of it. The bathroom was huge, loved the towel warmer.

All meals are available upon request and a candlelight dinner can be served. We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel had many areas to hang out and have a glass of wine. The rooms were very cozy and clean. Overall, a great stay!!

Beautiful accommodation in a stunning location with the most loveliest of hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and breakfast was wonderful!

Just 2km from Monsaraz Castle, Monte Alerta is surrounded by a meditation garden, organic orchard and next to the largest artificial lake in Europe, the Alqueva. It features an outdoor pool, hot tub and free Wi-Fi. We liked how welcoming Victoria was. She was an excellent host. Our room (#3) was spacious and very comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast and the pool. We liked the proximity to Monsaraz and to the OLA stargazing as both were just 5 minutes away. It was a good base for 4 days with day trips to Monsaraz, Evora and Estromoz. We plan on returning for a fall or spring visit.
